The majority of the wines they produce are Syrahs, which are actually pretty good. Run about $40 a bottle. The lady running the counter was a bit excessive with the chatter, however, which probably wouldn't have been as noticeable had the pours been a little more generous. Probably the smallest tastes we've had.

We stopped at the winery about 30 minutes before they opened. We decided to feed our 2 pugs and just relax until they were opened. The owner, Ann, saw us and decided to open early for us! She was very knowledgeable about the wines and we enjoyed her company while tasting some great wines. We ended up buying a case and taking them back to California with us!

What a nice visit. The winemaker greets you in the tasting room and immediately began lining up glasses for us to taste. Heavy on the pours - "What the heck...i make the stuff!"A nice stop on the way back from the Hood River Canal area back to Olympia.Squeeze it in , you'll love it.

This winery makes great wines from grapes it sources from the Columbia River valley. All of their wines are excellent and their syrahs are especially noteworthy. Highly recommend you stop if you are travelling through the area. The owners are great hosts.

Not expecting to find a great winery in Mason County? Well you are in for a surprise. Walter Dacon Winery has great wines, a very nice tasting room, and great owners/ staff. For the past few years Ann and Andy Anderson have built a loyal following and an impressive number of awards. Not far off Highway 101 between Olympia and Shelton the winery is well worth a visit.j

Stopped in on a random drive down to the Oregon Coast. The lady of the winery was a lovely soul and entertained us with stories of how they began and the awards they have won. The wine was great, although somewhat young, but enough choices to satisfy everyone pallet. Some interesting vintages and blends. We purchased a red but enjoyed the Pinot Gris as well. A great little place that we hope to get more exposure and leggs soon! We'll for sure stop again if we're back through.

Walter Dacon Winery makes fabulous wine. For years they've been known for their Rhone-style offerings and have recently added 2 Spanish-style blends, both excellent.Wednesday - Sunday tastings are free in the cozy tasting room. The winery has regularly scheduled events throughout the year. Live music, wonderful food, and great wine- bring your friends to relax and enjoy yourselves. The owners, Ann and Lloyd Anderson, don't just make fabulous wine. They've created a welcoming rural oasis to share.
