Famous 14-Hands Winery is located in Prosser, WA. Not only do you get to taste their wines normally found in the market. A special treat is to taste their Reserve and Limited Release Wines. After you have finished tasting a 14 Hands, go across the street and check out Desert Wind Winery and the Walter Clore Visitor's Center.

We have made a decent dent in the very long list good to great Washington wineries in the last year. And 14 Hands stands up to the best of them. The staff at the tasting room is cordial, professional and informative. As a group, they couldn't be nicer. But these ladies also know their stuff. And very good stuff it is indeed. We chose this winery to be one of the few that we wanted to be members of their club. Their Reserve wines are simply outstanding be it Malbec, Merlot or Cab. We have paid many times the price of these wines and have been no happier. These are great wines at a very nice price point. We also bought a case of their Chardonnay, non reserve, and it is tasty as well. In short, they have something for everyone. But perhaps the most surprising aspect of the 14 Hands Winery is how mature this operation feels. While it's only been open a relatively short time, it FEELS like this has been a long standing operation that has worked out all the bugs a long time ago. Bottom line here is that this is definitely a winery worth spending some time at. You'll enjoy the experience.

Be sure to sample their reserve wines. They are the ones to buy. Staff friendly and very helpful and the winery was very nicely done.

What a beautiful tasting room and facility! Waylon was an excellent hostess for our tasting and shared the history of the wine and the facility. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Don't miss this on your wine tour of Washington.

We primarily went to the 14 Hands tasting room because we like their blends that we get in the crocery store. They are inexpensive and good for pizza or casual dinners. It was a pleasant surprise to drive up and see the "horse" outside the tasting room. The interior is very comfortable, pretty and in keeping with the horse theme. The employees were knowledgable, friendly and welcoming. We tasted some of their more expensive wines which were very good and again, a surprise. Learned that 14 Hands and Columbia Crest are "sisters" (they share the same parent company).

We enjoyed our visit here, especially because we were given a choice of tasting. The employees were all very nice and knowledgeable about the area (we ask a lot of questions). We enjoyed the reserve wines and the Chardonnay and were pleased that the tasting fees were waived with purchase. One of the nicer corporate wineries we visited.

14 Hands is one of the nicer wineries you can visit while in Prosser, Washington. The building newer and the grounds are nice. The lady serving us was knowledgeable and friendly. I am not a wine expert and, in my opinion, good wine is up to the person tasting it...they like it or they don't! The selection we tried was not bad at all and we did end up buying a couple of bottles. I liked the cabernet sauvignon and my wife liked the reisling. Both were reasonably priced. Give 'em a try if you're in the area.

This popular winery opened its beautiful tasting room earlier this year. Sample five wines for $5, but if you buy wine the tasting fee is waived.Sample the whites and reds available at stores practically everywhere, but also try the special reserve wines available only to club members or at the winery. The reserves run about $30, about twice as much as their more common wines, such as Hot to Trot -- of which the white blend version just made the top of Consumer Reports' list. The young wines are easy to drink, and a brief stop here is just as easy. The winery's tasting room is conveniently located, with easy access off of I-84.
