Anna, the raft tour guide, was incredible - we absolutely loved this part of our trip. There were only two of us on the trip...if other people have also scheduled, then you'll be in the raft together, which would be fine. The advantage of the smaller group is that you feel like you get to have more of a conversation with the guide. We got to learn about the river and the nature life, as well as about the local area and its history. It was informative but fun...and a nice workout with the paddling. We did the full-day trip and had a blast; there are half-day trips available too. Gear is provided, along with lunch for the full-day trip. Cannot express how enjoyable this was - if you have the time, spend the night somewhere in the area and do the full-day trip, relax, and enjoy yourself.

Be patient with communications/contact ... this is a family business in a remote area and dont think immediate contact/detailed emails are routine ;). Anna was very pleasant and we were blessed with a glorious sunny day to ride the river in inflateable kayaks. Meet at store, drive short way to put in, then shuttled back in her truck after loading boats on trailer. class 2 rapid series at end of stretch was fun. went in am, done before lunch

Recently did an afternoon paddle on a raft down the Hoh River with Anna whom I believe may be the owner of this firm. She provided very comprehensive info about paddling/river safety before we even left the parking lot. They had booties for us to wear; we could have worn a wet suite and helmet if we so wished. Our family of four was in the raft with Anna and several kayakers followed behind with another guide, Seth. It was a great trip--not too strenuous but enough exercise that you had a sense of accomplishment upon completion. Anna provided great direction to us. We stopped briefly at a small waterfall, and also saw a bald eagle up pretty close. There had been confusion about our reservation which we'd phoned in and reconfirmed by phone, but Anna resolved this and we were still able to take the trip...we're very glad we did! Be aware that some of the info on the website is out of date; it would be best to speak with Anna or another of the rafting guides to confirm your trip.

My wife took me on a kayak trip for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. It ended up being the two of us and our guide was awesome. She had lots of great information and was super friendly. Having the chance to see the sea lions alongside us was awesome. We'd definitely use them again! Only one negative - it was 2 months after we went on the trip that they actually charged our credit cards. Not something that would keep us from using them again!

This was our first river raft trip for my 15 year old son and I. It's rated a "2" on the "river scale" of 1-6. It's a perfect starter rafting trip for those who have never rafted. It was mostly calm with a couple little more "exciting" areas where my son and I, who were sitting in the front, got soaked and LOVED it! The Hoh river is such an unusually lovely color and the scenery along the banks is gorgeous. The gear they provided was in great shape and the guide was very calm and professional. We both can't wait to go back and do it again!

Our guide Pam was so nice. Gave us a lot of info about the area. Beautiful scenery on the Hoh River. Mild rafting with 2 good rapids! Kids 11,9,7 yrs old loved it!

My husband and I took the full day Hoh river rafting trip. We LOVED it! It was just enough excitement to be adventurous and plenty of calm water to soak in all the beauty! Anna was a very patient and knowledgeable guide and shared her many years of experience with us along the way. The white water sections were much more than we experience in our home state of Missouri, but the trip was so much fun!We would both highly recommend Rainforest Paddlers!

Kayaked 8 beautiful miles on the Quiyalute and Dickey Rivers to the La Push marina. Guide Anna was friendly and skilled. This is a great family paddle as only a couple of short tiny rapids and the remainder a tranquil float and paddle down the river. Very fun and I will definitely call tehm again when I am next on theA coast.

So glad we took this paddle. Our guide Anna was highly skilled very good as a guide and conversationalist ( so knowledgeable) - dont' let her petit stature fool you.Temperature in the high 60's and not a cloud in the sky. Mountain views were spectacular. Definitely would do this again.

Friendly, knowledgeable guide Anna shared great stories and history of the area as we rafted down the river. Great trip for beginner or nervous rafters. Excellent value. Loved it! Thanks, Anna!

We did the half day Hoh river raft trip and it was great. Pam was our guide and our kids wanted pictures with her at the end of the trip and told the ranger doing our tour at Mt. Rainier that they were the second best (second to Pam). We only had our family in our raft (2 adults, 2 kids). I had a row more than i was expecting to but it was all good. When you are getting you water proof clothes on and they ask you if you want booties - the correct answer is "yes". I had on water proof boots and they said that i might need to stand in a couple inches a water when getting in the boat - i figured i was fine. An hour later i was standing in 20 inches of water pulling the boat over rocks. It took 2 days for my boots to dry out. Also, we did the afternoon trip and the cafe was closed by the time we got there so we drove all the way back to Quinault for dinner - everyone was pretty hungry by then - plan for this if you aren't staying in Hoh.

It was our granddaughters first kayaking experience and it couldn't have been better. Anna did a great job preparing us for the trip with both equipment and instruction. We paddled down the Quileute River through beautiful scenery and saw lots of eagles and other birds. The view when we got to the ocean was amazing. Traveling with Anna aw like spending the afternoon with your best friend. I highly recommend using family operated businesses like Rainforest Paddlers for a more personal experience.

renting out equipment is something our business does on a very limited basis. River tours are our main stay. We have 5 bikes for rent, which are also used on a regular basis by employees for quick errands around our village. Most rentals are for 2-3 hour rides around the Hoh Rainforest area for people who want to get out of the car to catch some fresh air and exercise. Occasionally they are rented multi day by people who are camping and fishing that want to ride around their campground and explore fishing holes. In retrospect the individuals that were dissatisfied with their rental because they came to the area with false expectations of both the bikes and the type of biking that our business wants to offer. These customers were extreme biking ethusiasts wanting to ride hard and push the limits of how steep and challenging they could ride. This is not the market we want to cater too, now or ever. We have K2 bikes that are 5 years old and maintained with one major service per year and then as needed service otherwise, they are for pleasure riding and not extreme performance riding. I am happy to report that both parties checked out the bikes' condition before they left the property. Both parties were satisfied with the condition of the bikes. As to what happened on day two of the rental, only the renters themselves know the circumstances of how the bikes went from a satisfactory condition to a dissatisfactory condition. We do know that some modifications were made to the equipment, which may have affected the way the bikes performed. The bikes were brought back early, which wouldn't have been a refund problem under normal circumstances but the customer demanded money back for 2 of three days and wanted to charge our company for a wrench that they purchased. The owner mentioned that this was impossible as the customer had damaged the bike during the rental and thus should be satisfied with the lack of damage charges. The customer received a partial refund and doesn't mention this fact, and even tried to leverage a larger refund via threatening negative online feedback if he didn't get his way. Compromise is a fair and reputable business method, getting angry, trying to blame a business when you abuse their equipment and it fails, and then trying to label them as dishonest is a full blown misrepresentation of fact.

My daughter and I took a halfday trip down the river with Rainforest Paddlers. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable! There were not as many rapids as I had been in before rafting, but there was enough to make for a very exciting ride! They will provide you with jackets, pants and watershoes if needed. We went on a warm day and only wore the jackets!!
