We stopped by on our way down from Johnston Ridge Observation. Beautiful lake with a wonderful trail to walk. Nice walkways bring you right onto the lake.Peaceful, quiet. It would be a great place to have lunch.

We ate breakfast in the shaded parking lot with a view of the lake / ramp. There are nice bathrooms there. There was plenty of room with picnic tables. Good place to stop for a break.

Nice little piece of history. Fishermen this day were catching trout hand-over-fist. Nice place for a picnic if the school trip is not there

This is a pretty lake with an easy walking trail and several observing points. We saw 3 otters that were swimming in the lake then climbed out on a stump to warm in the sun.

A boardwalk through the lake brought us to the MOST beautiful views of Mt. St. Helen. My teenager daughter and I found this area to be peaceful and serene staying longer than we expected given the sheer beauty we were witnessing in the quiet.
