this has to be one of the most scenic drives in our beautiful country. gorgeous mountain views, canyon views, pullouts to picnic areas and hiking trails, waterfalls on top of the road, meadows. i loved it. it was fun with winding twists and turns. i bet my mom would be nervous, but most normal people would love it! (cliffs and all!)

It's a great drive, definitely worth the time. Take the time to enjoy the whole way to the end. There are lots of trails that you can walk for walks along the way.

The way in to Kings Canyon. A pretty drive with great scenery. You must travel on this road to get to any of the trails for hiking.

A long and winding road. Travelled in fall so the meadow was not beautiful... would be better in springtime. The falls was beautiful despite the drought. The Borden Caves are along the way if you want to stop and visit them.

We enjoyed this drive as it had numerous lovely vistas. Unfortunately, we hit a rainy day... Would have been even nicer on a sunny day.

It is worth it to drive into Kings Canyon itself and see the sheer rock walls and streams, but the road there is tortuously narrow and winding so be prepared for about thirty minutes of intense driving before you hit the valley floor.

This drive is beautiful. It does require driving on a winding road, but there are plenty of turnouts and places to stop and take pictures. Part of the drive does have significant elevation changes which can be rough on cars. Highly recommend this drive. Can stop and take a short hike at various locations as well.

This is a much more remote area and not was well visited as its companion park, Sequoia. Nor sure it is worth the time to visit. It is a warmer area because the elevation is 2-3,000 feet below that of the Lodgepole area of Sequoia. Highway is twisty, slow-going as point was a good roadway. Its remoteness is its main feature. .

Kings Canyon Scenic Byway is just really an amazing way to Sequoia National park, with its hair bending roads, amazing views which some are we can stop, park and take pictures. Visited in January and the ride was smooth and without traffic at all and able to enjoy the passing scenery at leisure.

Not a drive for the faint of heart. We've been on some other scenic mountain drives in the US, and this one is up in the top 5 for sure. You go right into a whole new valley after going over the pass. Its not one for a large camper, as some of the curves would not be negotiable by a bigger vehicle. We thought it was amazing!

We did not drive the whole road as time was limited but the sheer cliffs coming up out of the forest were a sight to see!

This was a beautiful ride with lots and lots of curvy roads. Well worth the time to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

'Scenic Byway' is an understatement! This circuitous path to glorious views is left to those who know how to shift to avoid braking constantly! The views are breathtaking and change along with the movement of the sun. Beautiful.

The sights along the drive were fantastic, the views as you descend into the canyon are stunning.I recommend stopping at Canyon viewpoint, Zumwalt Meadow, Roaring river falls, and Roads end.Expect a long downhill on your way from Grant Grove to Roads End, use engine braking!
