Let's be honest: No "great" experience ever lives up to its hype the second time you experience it. For example, the second time I was in NYC and saw the lights at Times Square, they just did not seem to be as bright anymore. The second time I was in Rome, the Coliseum seemed to have lost a little of its "grandness". Same with food: I remember the first time I tasted foie gras, or lobster, or kobe beef. While always being 'great', these foods never ever lived up to their hype again... So what does all this have to do with this place? Let me tell you: When we experienced St Francis's food and wine pairing for the first time about one year ago it was nothing short of exceptional. Then, when my wife suggested we do it again I began to be a little skeptical: why "ruin" such a perfect memory and experience? Well, I must admit- it was not too difficult to persuade me..So off we went. By now, EVERYTHING had changed: the menu, the chef, the sous-chef, the wines... AND: YES, it was just as GREAT as one year ago, so there goes my theory about "the second time around will never be as great as the first.."

What a great visit. Ask for Karen. She's extremely knowledgable and takes the time to explain the different wines and the total wine experience. She also was polite enough to recommend a few other vineyards based on the tastes we have her. Highly recommended.

Worth the price. The staff is friendly, the setting is gorgeous, the food expertly prepared and the wine was good (I'm not a wine drinker, and I enjoyed them). I look forward to returning.

The building and grounds are very nice and well kept up with a simple gift buying area amongst the tasting room. The wine is quite awful tasting in my opinion. No one in my group enjoyed their wine, in fact the group next to us had to keep spitting out their wine. They advertise a food and wine pairing which sounds amazing. Go for the setting and not the wine

We went with group of 6 people, They took us to small tours to their vegetable garden/herb garden, followed by visit to vineyards and we tasted both white and red wine. Well maintained vineyard. Very nice and informative tour. Tour guides were very friendly and made us felt like part of their family. We will surely come back here.

OMG! What a great idea! This is a nice little winery, on Hwy 28, in Napa. Apparently they do pairings and, for our visit, it was Cuvee' Blanc & Pumpkin Pie. A beautiful setting, up against the hills. There was a group event, when we were there, but they were in a room next to the lawn. This would be a great setting for a wedding.

We visited this winery on the way to Sebastopol. We picked it at random, and it was a pretty good choice. It was crowded because it is located on the main road (we were on the way from Napa to Sonoma). We also took some pictures outside (beautiful views of the vineyard and the mountains behind it). Wine tasting costs $10.00 but if you purchase 2 bottles of wine - it is used toward your purchase.

Very good wine......and the views looking at the the mountain behind the tasting is room is beautiful! I have attended one of their food and wine parings. Worth the cost. Very nice food paired with very nice wine! And the lecture is interesting and engaging. In the warm months it is so nice to sit outside and have a glass of wine and enjoy the view.

We did a wine pairing luncheon and were enchanted throughout the entire 6 course experience. The setting was idyllic and both the food and wine enhanced the feast. Tapas size tastings were perfect for the elaborate meal that tantalized our taste buds and tickled our fancies. Book early a because you do not want to miss this!

My wife & I did the food & wine pairing at St Francis back in February and I would definitely recommend it to others. I thought the wines were just okay but the food was outstanding. We received 5 courses including dessert. First up was a root salad with a Meyer lemon vinagarette served with a viognier. Very tasty. The next course was Chilean sea bass. It was very, very good. Can't remember the wine but it may have been a pinot. The next course up was twice smoked duck. I usually don't care for duck but it was so good I ate every bite.Came with a red blend. The following course was miso braised beef. This was actually my least favorite course but it was still pretty good. Think this came with a Zin. Dessert was a peanut butter mousse with dark chocolate ganache and wine infused blueberries. The wines were forgetable but the food was excellent.

Reserve a seat for special experience: super small plates, accompanied by 5-6 wines not typically availalble at national retail level. Good commentary and service ( 75-90 minute event) with up to16-20 guests at a time. Nice room and winery facilities.

I live nearby. Taking a guest or visitor to this special place is a treat for me. I am proud of Sonoma County and this friendly neighborhood winery has wonderful events that they host. I belong to their wine club and their wines are very good. Sometimes they run specials which I can buy as gifts. It is in a beautiful location and their building reminds me of a mission building. Their chef is wonderful they have great food and wine pairings. Their annual Lobster dinner is a very unique and special affair. You do not have to be a local to enjoy this great winery.

Been there a few times over the years and it is one of our favorites. The property is beautiful and the wines are great! My husband and I always share a tasting and enjoy a glass on the patio. Also if you have a Visa Signature card the tasting is free!

We had a wonderful tasting with Ronnie - he shared the standard tasting menu and then also gave us tastings of several wines that he thought we might like based on our tastes. This was a real winner - the wine was fantastic and if you walk onto the lawn, the view is incredible. We ordered a wine flight and cheese plate - this was also delicious and we had excellent service from Taylor. Overall, a fantastic Sonoma wine tasting experience - thank you!
