This museum concentrates on exhibiting art which fosters an appreciation of nature and preservation of our wilderness areas. Display is spread over 3 levels and includes all media - paintings, drawings and sketches, sculpture. Great selection of items in the gift shop too. They also offer workshops and excursions to nearby areas. They also have maps and brochures on the surrounding wilderness and National Forests. Definitely worth visiting if you are in solvang or the Santa Ynez Valley.

This is a great little museum. It's very crisp and I loved the layout used for the exhibitions currently on display. 3-levels to browse and enjoy. Certainly worth the stop if you are visiting Solvang. Worth it even more if you are a nature lover! They have some local artists on display and work that is available for purchase. Nice gift shop, too.

I just assumed the museum was named "vildling", pronounced in the German way. No, it'w "wildling", and for good reason: The space is dedicated to California nature. The exhibits included paintings of California scenery (I don't think any humans were portrayed at all), photos, paintings, and sculpture of wild animals, and a children's area where schoolkids could explore nature with art. It was a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

The Wildling Art Museum, which moved from Los Olivos to Solvang, is better than ever. More space, more exhibits, more programs. I've been there several times since the Solvang opening in 2013. The Wildling has a helpful staff and fun programs. The Nature History Field Classes with Fred and Larry are a great way to learn about the local environment. My wife and I have been on several of these trips and highly recommend them. If you like 'wilderness' themed art, you'll like the Wildling.

The museum was opened to the public on August 24th, so when this reviewer was at the Wildling our renovation was not yet completed. Appointments are not needed. We keep regular hours: Wed - Monday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wilding doesn't an artist's studio tour as an annual fundraiser. We've done it for several years now and loved it. It such fun to visit with and discuss thier works with the artists themselves. Wilding is moving to Solvang something in the next year to a much bigger space so we'll be interested in seeing what they put on display

Fun thing to do when you're in Los Olivos. Always great art. Small venue, but packed with interesting history.

This is a great museum - lots of talented artists in the area. Pottery, mixed media, oils & watercolor paintings. Great variety and reasonably priced.

There was an exhibit of photos of the earth from satellites. Ethereal, beautiful, limited in scope and quantity. Nevertheless, the price was right (free, or a donation), so it was worth it.

This is one of my personal favorites! Great art, great local nursery, great markets & a Peets Coffee Shop. Los Olivos is a must do! Plan an whole afternoon just to wander this quaint town. Sit on their porches & watch the wortld go by. Ahh for the time! Summer is warm and very well worth it!

We went to the Wildling museum to see the Channel Islands exhibit. It was really nice. It doesn't take a long time to see the museum, but it is worth a trip and they have nice gifts in their gift shop.

We have been to the Wildling many times and try to catch every exhibition. I have been awestruck by some of the pieces they exhibit and they do an excellent job in both the shows they bring in and showing the pieces to their greateat advantage. Many people go to Los Olivos to go wine tasting but do take a break and enjoy this little gem. A donation is requested and it is worth the small fee.

We saw the Channel Island Exhibit on this visit, which was both beautiful and informative. This small museum is the size of a single gallery of the large SB Museum of Art, but the requested entry fee is appropriately modest. The staff and volunteers are friendly, and the gift store has several fine artistic books and other items with a nature theme.

All the staff is friendly and shares information freely with all visitors. The gallery shows all relate to nature in some way. The features in the gallery are worthy traditional shows not hippie or too modern. There is a lot of wine tasting in the little town of Los Olivos and many other galleries to visit. Los Olivos is a walking town everything is close by.
