Beach is well maintained - great for walks in morning and night - can be crowded mid day during prime season

Very charming island. We took the ferry from San Diego and walked from the pier to the Hotel Del Coronado. The beach was very clean, and there were shops and restaurants nearby.

We visited both the Ferry Landing and Coronado Beach. The landing was ok; there are a few shops (many expensive) and a handful of restaurants. It feels like it is a work in progress. Maybe there are plans to add to the landing but as of now there isn't enough there to make me want to return. On the opposite side of the island is Coronado Beach and the Coronado Hotel. This area is spectacular. The beach is huge and goes on for what seems like miles. You can spend several hours walking along the beach, picking up shells or just relaxing. The sand and water here have gold flecks in them - the water actually shimmers and sparkles. if you look closely you can see the small gold flecks as the tide comes in. It was amazing. We didn't visit the Hotel del Coronado as we ran out of time. The beach was so inviting that we were content to spend all of our time there. I would definitely recommend a stop on this side of the island - it is well worth the trip.

Come thru a very high long bridge from San Diego. It has the best beach in the USA. And best of all, this is where the great andhistoric Hotel del Coronado is.

Beautiful beach and nice main street in Coronado make this a relaxing and easy paced place to spend a weekend. Loved watching the sunsets as well as the "marine layer" on alternate evenings. Whether for a day or more you will find a Coronado a wonderful spot to stop.

We walked around the entire hotel and beach area - it was cool to see the ice skating rink right on the beach. We had some lunch and then headed out for the night. I really liked this area - some amazing homes!

One of our favorite places to go for a short, relaxing getaway. The beach is spectacular. Clean, soft sand, good mix of people, great for families. We were asked not to fly our kites where we were at, but the lifeguard was very polite. Part of the beach is in the Navy base's flight path. It's fun watching the jets, though. Love walking around the island, getting a pizza and ice cream.

Love this spot as it's slow paced and quiet. The beach is decent but not like others i've been to in regards to the quality of the sand.

This is such a cute town! If you are in San Diego you have to visit here. Go see The Hotel Coronado, and MAKE SURE you go out onto the beach. After walking in the sand your feet will sparkle! There is gold specks in the sand. And the beach is amazing!

I escaped snow and ice to spend a luxurious week in Coronado. Coronado is almost like going back in time - the locals treat you like long time friends. Outstanding seafood and the freshest produce made for delightful meals. The serene pathway that circles the island is heaven to stroll around. I feel like I've gone to the tropics, without leaving the US!

Wasn't there 5 minutes and I thought "I'd like to live here". Walked from the water taxi pier down B Street to the Coronado Hotel. Had lunch at the Coronado Hotel, walked along the beach and meandered the streets back up to the water taxi.

This island not only is beautiful but full of History. The beaches have white sands and the town is very trendy The views of San Diego and the water at the north (Ferry side) can't be beat. I will be staying here again soon. Love it.
