I have lived in Sacramento for 13 years and have been going to B street all that time.It was founded by Timothy and Buck Busfield and is still run by Buck Busfield who is an amazing director and playwright himself, but has managed to assemble and attract and excellent set of regular actors and playwrights who are first rate. You would be hard pressed to find a better theater company in any part of the country and they are only 1 of 2 companys in the US that put on educational and professional theater performances for children as well.I am sorry we will be retiring to Oregon and will not be able to see all of the great shows any longer.

B Street Theater is a wonderful place to enjoy live theater. It's a small intimate setting (a new location is in the works) and there are no bad seats and the price wont break the bank. Great way to introduce children to live theater. We highly recommend checking out the B Street Theater.

It was my first visit to the B Street Theatre. I had the opportunity to mingle with other playgoers in the small bar off the theatre and sip wine. The theatre itself is small and intimate on three sides of the stage. It was a pleasant experience and evening seeing "Tribes", a British play brought to the USA about the experience of a deaf son in a hearing family.

Intimate theatre with small casts and real funny comedies. Not the most elegant place, but they are working on building a new venue. The prices are very reasonable especially with an annual subscription.

My wife and I have been B Street subscribers for over a decade, and we have very much enjoyed most of the shows they have produced for both the Mainstage series, which consists mostly of light comedies, and the B3 series, which features more modern and edgy plays. Many of the plays put on at the B Street are West Coast premieres performed by members of its strong acting company and guest actors, and there is nothing quite like the experience of a thrust theater in which the audience is seated so close to the stage that sometimes it feels like you are a part of the action.

Nice black box performance, the staff was detailed and dedicated the venue was fitting and the cast was tremendous. The work of B street extends far beyond the performances as the work with children in an effort to introduce the arts. If I lived in the area I would be come a yearly subscriber/

If you are visiting Sacramento and like the theater, this play house will have a play for you without breaking your budget. The shows are first rate, the theater is small and intimate and on three sides of the stage. It is a fun experience with great acting!!

i have been to many plays here over the years, tho i do not go often. i have always been pleased w the quality of performance. Tickets are usually very reasonable, as they have a lot of competition now. They used to be the best in my book, but there are other good t. groups also now in town. There current theatre is small , 'intimate'. They have new large theatre in mid town on the books, tho dont expect it soon.

We visited with over 90 third graders to watch "Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. The seating was excellent for all of the kids and they really related to the characters. The actors sold the story 100%. The kids left asking when they could return!! The adults enjoyed the seating, set, and the presentation.

I love the B Street Theatre! The plays are always well done, in a comfortable setting with humor in most of the plays. The production is excellent. If you arrive early there is beer and wine available to enjoy before the play.

There are 2 B Street Theaters- one is the Children's Theatre and next door is the adult theatre. Both serve top-notch experiences in comedy and drama. The present theatre is next to the railroad tracks which makes for some interesting sound effects- I will miss that when the new theatre opens this year (?)

This is a small theater (actually a teaching stage), so small stage with big feel. I've been here a couple times for short and unique stage plays. Very up close & personal. We can dress casual and be relaxed. Great price, easy parking. Together with dinner it makes for a fun evening without going broke.

My wife and I have been here several times before and have not been disappointed yet. Kurt Johnson and Melinda Parrett Did a fantastic job of keeping you in the play trying to figure out what was going to happen next. We have seen Kurt a few times before and first time for Melinda but we love them both and look forward to seeing them again

This one was no exception. We're season subscribers so spoiled. But this cast had 2 new players we don't recall seeing before. As usual, it was different and thought[provoking. If you're interested in being lulled by entertainment, this isn't the place to go.
