AAA sends me discount information on a regular basis and that's how I discovered the Dynasty Restaurant and the Bay Area Dinner Show (BADS). Dan and his team of sleight of hand prestidigitators welcomed us, made us feel at home and then proceeded to feed us and beguile us. The food was pretty good and served family style with a lazy-suzan in the center of the table. I like Chinese and had no complaints. I am an amatuer magician and learned a couple of tricks while watching the close up folks who are a lot better than I am. Very family friendly, so don't be afraid to bring the youngsters. The stage show was also quite good. Humor abounds. So come ready to laugh and applaud.

I attended Dan’s variety show at the Dynasty Seafood Restaurant on Labor Day in Cupertino. Going in, I knew the food was going to be excellent since I had been to that restaurant twice previously for wedding banquets. I was well satiated with the multi-course meal; we even had a lot extra to take home. Both before and during the dinner, Dan and his talented team circulated around the tables to perform impressive close-up magic. After dinner, we all moved to the stage area to watch the main show, which included magic, sleight of hand, juggling, shadow hand puppetry, and witty banter by Dan, his wife, and other performers. Throughout, eager kid and adult volunteers enthusiastically participated in many of the acts. Overall, it was a fun family evening of awesome performances. My only suggestion for anyone interested in going is to first check Dan’s website for tickets. The prices may be the same as what you would pay for a Groupon deal. The main difference is that booking directly from his website means that the artists get the money rather than having half of it given to an internet company in Chicago.

Dan, his wife, and crew of magicians were a nice surprise. They went around to the dinner tables performing close-up tricks that were very good; telling jokes; getting everyone in the mood for the show. The food was very good, by the way. The show itself was a lot of fun. In particular fun for the kids, as well as their families. It's nice to see a G-rated show that is genuinely funny! I recommend this for a nice evening out, especially for families.
