Ice is pretty crappy, and there's way too many people. However, they do this awesome thing where they rent out the rink at night for Broomball, which actually might make this a 5 star review. Been at midnight broomball (no skates, just shoes and modified lacrosse sticks to use on the ice like hockey players) a few times, that's been just amazingly awesome.

We booked a birthday party here for my daughter. They didn't even have tables and chairs set up in the room when we arrived. I was supposed to be allowed in at 11:45 to set up for a 12:00 start time for the party. I had to wait outside of the room until almost 12:30 before I could even got in to set up. My own guests had to help set up for the party because they had all already arrived by the time they let us in the room. They blamed it on their hockey practice running late. My thoughts are that if the genius party planner knew there was a party, then they need to tell the hockey team to get out so they can set up. That's what we're paying for isn't it? I was mortified that my guests arrived to a party that wasn't even ready. Anyway, we got to enter the room at 12:30 and we were told to have it all cleaned up and out of there by 1:30. Bad organization, horrible customer service, and not even a single apology!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Then they allowed way too many people on the ice during open skate that you couldn't even enjoy yourself. Go to PickWick in Burbank at all costs!!!

I take my eleven year old grandson to the Pasadena ice skating rink frequently. The staff are very helpful and friendly.. It is no longer in the old ballroom. They have a new rink that is near the convention center. The instructors are great. It is also fun to watch the figure skating . I'm sure many of them will be going to the Olympics.

Pasadena is a great place to shop, eat and explore the old buildings. Well the ice skating arena is another great place to visit. We came here for the first time a few weeks ago and we are hooked. The arena is located by Paseo Colorado and there are parking structures nearby. While the skate rental and admission is $13.00 per person it is still cheaper than an evening movie and you get exercise. We are still figuring out the parking and have parked twice at the convention center structure which adds up on frequent visits. I have yet to park at the 3.00 area but will find it soon. The arena is updated and there is plenty of space to sit and watch. There are vending machines which sell snacks and hot coffee. Average price is $1.50 to $2.00 for each item. We have gone during public skating and it's fun to watch people skate of all ages. There are families, college students and some high schoolers but everyone gets along. They have classes threre and I am going to inquire for my soon who wants to learn how to ice skate. The only compliant I have are the skates. They have some pretty worn out skates with frayed or used laces. You can bring your own skates but if your are a newbie like me just know you have been informed about the skates. Overall this a great place for friends or family. This is a great place to bring out of town guests.

Our four year old niece is signed up for the 10 lesson skating package. She enjoys the experience, largely because she has attentive instructors and there is a good viewing area for family members, and she loves the attention. The Skating Center is conveniently located in the middle of town and there is usually plenty of parking, and they will validate parking to cut the rate to $3.00, which is very reasonable.

My daughter has been training here for quite sometime, and the results are excellent. Choosing the right instructor makes a big difference. My daughter had challenges landing an axel jump and various step sequence. We left the previous instructor and discovered an awsome caoch in Pasadena. Big improvements, since last year. Thank you, Ouida!!!

Even though it was difficult to find (it's in a big white tent behind a building), it was worth the effort of having to ask multiple people for directions. My kids (ages 6 and 9) really enjoyed it. I worried about the number of people in the facility because it was getting crowded but it was a fun past-time. Cost was $13 per person and included the cost of the skate rental. Lockers are on site so there is a place to store your personal belongings. Also, there is plenty of seating for those who choose to watch instead of skate.

I go there regularly for lessons and practice Every day, the instructors are nice and at public skating you can ask any person who works there and is on the ice for some help on skating, which was nice.....the prices should be lowered a dollar or two on Monday and Tuesday because you pay the same for two hours as you do for four. The parking is HORRIBLE you have to park at Paseo and revaludate theticket at macys for two hours free so you gave to walk so much just for only two hours free! All the hockey players that practice there are a little to advanced and aggressive to be on the ice with little kids and beginners since I can skate really well its easier to manage but still not safe....the staff is nice and actually look happy and exited to work there! Nice ice skating rink, one downfall is the pro shop, it is very very small and doesn't offer much at all...overall I enjoy skating there and I am happy to have it in Pasadena.

More than you would expect from a centrally-located ice rink. This is not a rockerfeller center skating-under-the-tree kinda rink, but an actual rink with quality ice. There were adorable ice-dancers-in-training working hard in the center of the ice, but the rink was not at all crowded for a friday afternoon skate. It's a great place to go with the family, or to go to practice your skills.

A great place to take your kids. It was a bit crowded when we were there.

The old rink was too small and the lease was up, so the city put up this very nice semi-permanent tent structure near the convention center to house a full-size ice skating rink. It is very clean and popular. Highly recommended for classes, or just an evening of family fun.

I'm not a big ice-skater but we thought this would be fun to do and different than our usual. The prices here are good, the rink is kind of small (but hey, it's Pasadena), the staff are friendly. It got a little crowded with teenagers on a Friday night, but it was fun.

Took the family to the ice rink in Pasadena and we had a great time! My son didn't want to skate at first but a rink employee named Steven talked him into it! We had a hard time getting him OFF the ice at the end of the day. They are building a new rink right next to this one and it looks like it will be very modern and geared a lot towards hockey...which my son is very excited about now!
