This is one spot that all travelers to San Jose should visit if they are into light outdoor activity. No matter what time of year, there is one or two types of Roses in Bloom for your eyes and nose to appreciate. Also, the Egyptian Museum is very near by, walking a block of so from the Rose Garden. Two awesome places to visit in San Jose. One is free---Rose Garden!

Really enjoyed this garden! The layout is wonderful with easy access to all the roses. The volunteers have done and continue to do a great job in the upkeep. I had the place to myself, except for two bunnies/jack rabbits(they were BIG). It was wonderful to take time to 'stop and smell the roses'. If I lived in the area I would definitely visit during the weekends. Great place to stop for a half hour or so to take a few photos and walk around.

Go, but go early! People tend to forget that roses do well in England for a reason: it's cold and dreary there. So visit often. But visit early!

It was a nice area. There were not as much roses as I would have liked but still it was enough for me to take pictures etc. I would recommend to come here on free time and just wander around. It is good for de-stressing.

What a great way to enjoy an afternoon. Even as we got out of our car we could smell the roses. The pamphlets provided provided an easy way to identify the different varieties. This is one of those spots that is worth hitting when you want to walk a bit and enjoy stopping to smell the roses.

Very beautiful, so many roses and varieties of rose. Also a great volunteer opportunity since they do need volunteers to deadhead the rose. You can learn a thing or two

There are two rose gardens in San Jose, this one by Naglee is the better one with lots of roses and the landscaping is completed with a nice little fountain in the middle. To make it better, there are a row of redwoods on the otherside of the garden where there is a field for kids to run around.

The rose garden is good, if you like flowers , you may want to take a walk and see, and if the weather's good , sit there on the grass for a while, but I would not really recommend that , since its quite a deserted place, so it seems. you may just see the garden and come back.there's no fee to visit the park.

Try and find out when the roses are in bloom, best time of year to go. But even if not blooming, nice place to relax or take a snack.

The setting is peaceful considering its proximity to the freeway and major highways. The roses are so beautiful and the gardens and grounds so well kept it's easy to get relaxed into the atmosphere of the place so that little else matters. A wonderful place to go for a casual walk, a picnic, or just to clear one's head.

Not many roses in blossom. Big dissapointment. Maybe wrong season? Very dry weather for long. The walk along the river and the park also not nice ae all.

It's easy to forget to stop and smell the roses in such a big and busy city like San Jose. This garden offers a refreshing escape from the hustle bustle with lots of different roses. It's conveniently located nearby downtown, and is a great place to take a walk after a meal.

Heritage Rose Garden is a very nice rose garden in San Jose. It has so many different types of roses, all with their distinct and amazing rose aromas. The colors are fantastic. There is a green arae around the garden as well for a picnic. Oftentimes, we see wedding couples taking wedding pictures here due to the breathtaking gardens.The garden is free; parking is curbside around the garden area - and usually you can find a place.
