This was one of the many short stops we made as we drove up northern California Section of Highway One taking a view of the Half Moon Bay as we went along. The views are wonderful which is one of the main reasons to stop.

The beach and rocks that are on the shoreline put you in aww of the beauty there. Nice parking area with restrooms. And the walk north from the parking area to a little cove was very relaxing after a long drive. There's even a hidden passageway to Batmans cave, lol. Not really but the inset flat rock looks like a sliding doorway just before you get to the small cove area. One of California's most beautiful beach areas!

The views are breathtaking at this beach. There are all sorts of interesting trails to explore by the cliffs and by the shore. It is a place that you could spend many hours exploring. I didn't want to leave! It is a place that I will visit over and over again. Highly recommended!

Easy access to the beach from an ample parking lot. Rest rooms. Wonderful place to enjoy Northern California beach. Great place to fly a kite. Waves were too big on the day we were there for little children.

Great place to stop for photos. Heading down toward Santa Cruz all the places to pull off and stop or take a picture seemed to have $8 fees. So since two of the places we drove into had rangers collecting the fee boxes and checking cars we decided not to risk getting out to take pictures. But this place has tons of parking and no fee! Really nice views and perfect spot for a break. They have some picnic tables, stairs down to the beach, bathrooms (no water), and plenty of views. Check it out on your way to or from Santa Cruz.

As I've traveled up the California coast from the south towards San Francisco, it is interesting to note the change in geology of the coast on the surf line. Big Sur and Monterey is very rocky and craggy, but as you head north towards here, the countryside changes to a very sandy dune-type of environment, with lots of local farms and ranches that reach the ultimate beach line. I found it most interesting

As you drive to Pescadero Beach you can stop in the quaint little town just a few streets long. You have a small store with a restaurant counter that services brick oven cooked pizza or have one of their sandwiches. Often we get a pizza and take a sandwich to split later on our drive. Next to that is a butcher and bread shop is what I call it. You will find fresh hot baked garlic bread or garlic and artichoke and it is so delish it is impossible not to grab a chunk and eat some right away. You can also buy some really good salami and cheese and make your own sandwiches at the beach. The beach itself is lovely. I love sitting there and having our lunch while we watch the waves. It is really relaxing and the ocean air is divine.

Went to this beach with friends (one of them got his car) and we had a long drive adjacent to the pacific. A very nice view throughout with mountains and trees on one side and sea on the other. The Pescadero beach is a calm beach with no parking charges for vehicles (some of the others charge 10$ for parking). Spent around an hour and clicked many memorable pics.

The rugged CA coastline can be seen here, and experienced. It's part of the beach is part of a great trip which could include stopping to eat at Duartes in Pescadero or hiking in Purissima. The beach has non-flush toilets, so beware. Parking is convenient. The beach itself offers places to relax, explore, and climb. Our two boys loved looking in tidepools, walking on hair like seaweed and climbing the rocks.

lots of beach to enjoy. Not as crowded as many of the others along the coast. Also visited in the evening as the fog rolled in. Lovely walking area.

Great sandstone cliffs surround the two ends of the beach. Nice curving beach with average waves. Easy to get to and usually parking is available. Several porta-potties and garbage cans make the day convenient. The Pescadero River empties into the ocean at the site and the beach is wide for kite flying, walking, running, and playing with ball. A great place to let go of all your cares and enjoy the day.

We always stop here when on the coast. Great views and a good beach. It's a good place to beachcomb.

From the dunes in the north with the "hole in the rock" cave, to the volcanic cliffs and the rocks, this is a great spot to wander or just sit and enjoy the view. Lovely area of the San Mateo coast, and very accessible. Several parking lots, though not enough near the dune area. Do pay attention to tides and waves, though, as this coast has some danger if you're not careful where you go. And layer up, because the weather is very changeable and almost always some wind and cooling breezes or fog at times.

Daily walk is highly recommended here. Sand, surf, ocean - what else to concentrate on? Water is quite cold (10-13C), so swimming is for trained ones.

This park has good restrooms (a plus) and easy parking. There are grills for cooking and when the tide is low, there are lots of tide pools with starfish, anemones, and other sea creatures. I like to walk the coastline and then flop down and eat a picnic. The water is not good for swimming. However, in January I have gone and gathered mussels off the rocks when the tide is past the 2 rocky islands.
