A few miles from downtown on the edge of Mt. Diablo Regional Park in the Shell Ridge Open Space this is a wonderful place to visit for the whole family. We went there for a special Summer event and enjoyed the experience even more. When you're looking for an easy outing try Borges Ranch. Also great for hiking.

A trip to Borges lets you travel back in time to the early days in California. It is hidden in the rolling foothills of Mount Diabblo. Despite being so close to neighboring communities, you feel like you are totally isolated from every one else.
