We went hiking up in the ORV park. Once you get past the camps with motorcycles and Quads there is a series of trails that take you around the mountain for some spectacular views....and I was a bit surprised that it was quiet...no noise form the cycles.very pretty. A little steep for first timers or novices, but well worth it.

The HOLLISTER Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is south of HOLLISTER, CA. Hollister is between the SVRA and San Juan Bautista, so don't get a room there. You want to get muddy on your dirt bike or 4X4, this is THE PLACE TO GO.Nearest repair facilities are in... you guessed it, in HOLLISTER.Closest city with stores, restaurants and gas stations are in... HOLLISTER.Need Pizza and beer, some firewood for the campfire... the closest town is HOLLISTER.

Includes various vehicular obsticle courses to test your skill. Many 4x4 trails. Decent camping. Local OHV Club 'Esprit de Four' gives annual beginning 4x4 driving courses there that are well run.
