The race track has been around since the 50's and it never fails to produce some of the best racing world wide, So many places to watch the races from and a great selection of corporate viewing areas as well. Access to view the race cars up close and a great selection of memorabilia.

A very nice track, very popular with both spectators & drivers alike. I competed there myself many years ago; lots of fun! Home of the famous "corkscrew"- now turn 8A- at the top of the hill, it's a very nice place to visit during one of the many events, both amateur & pro alike. Most events have lots of features- food/bar facilities, a paddock area generally open to visitors (but the racing pits are only open to competitors), a large VIP center, and plenty of trackside amenities as one might expect, and lots of parking; for some events camping facilities as well; RV's included. The Park Service runs the park facility but for track events SCRAMP is the organizer (Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula). Nearby towns include the Monterey Peninsula (Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, Seaside & Marina. To the east is Salinas California. The track itself is located on Highway 68, but for some events there's a back entrance for which a map would be a good idea. There's also a public shooting range, but it's closed during track events. Dislikes? None that I can think of.

They have handicap parkingThere are trolleys that will pick you up in the parking lot and bring you down to the entrance(not required, but a donation is appreciated). It is loud and crowded, my kind of place! The only thing that is lacking is shade, any shade, because there isn't any.It wouldn't stop me from going, but some shade would be really nice.Hint, HintHave fun!

We stopped in coming from Monterey since that was rained out. Easy to come in, no fee. Has plenty of viewpoints to check out and sits on a national forest for a nice view. There was an AMG workshop day so the Mercedez were learning autocross and running the track.

You can easily come to the track as a quest. The are some view points for taking some pictures. In the center of the track there is a store to buy some nice suveniers for the motor enthousiastics back home.

A great location, great weather, and the beautiful Monterey Bay minutes away. What more could you ask for in a race venue. A bucket list location for a racing enthusiast.

A totally different track and surroundings from what we have in the Southeast. The track was challenging for the drivers. The views were awesome.

Access to the paddock and ease of movement around the track. Food vendors are reasonably priced for the venue, and the beer garden was well priced with an excellent selection. Track announcers very informative about current events around the track.

My fiance is an avid racing enthusiast and Laguna Seca was on his bucket list. So on our trip to Monterey, this was an absolutely must-see. The SCCA championship was there the weekend we were in town and we went on Friday. The entry fee was a steal, the parking was easy, and prices inside the gates were surprisingly reasonable. The best part though was that we had free range of the entire track and we walked up, down, and all over the grounds. It was astonishing how close we felt to the races. It was a true adrenaline rush even for a non-car person like myself. I had a great time! Everything there felt easy and fun, unlike a lot of sporting venues and events where you get frisked at the entrance and fleeced at the concessions stands. Everyone at Laguna Seca seemed in great spirits and it didn't feel at all crowded though the parking lot was certainly full.

My brother was super excited that this was close to our hotel and so we drove up, the man on the gate let us in for free as we only wanted a quick look for 20 minutes. There was a race on which was really exciting to see. We parked in a high up area for a good look at the track.

I dropped by on a non-race day just for a look and had a look around - wonderful circuit with friendly staff. That corkscrew turn is awesome!

Spectacular track and very technical. The cockscrew will take the wind out of you, and rewards when you get it right.

Facilities are very nice.Food vendors had everything you needed and the food was delicious. Now let's get to the track and the wonderful people who make it all happen WOW HATS OFF TO YOU ALL!!!Even during someone's off track excursion, the corner workers got the flags out; drivers off the track and wreckers and emergency crews out PDQ - then all drivers were back on the track with plenty of time left in the session. Great job crew! The track is pristine and exceptionally well maintained.Well worth the money spent and 3600 mile round trip

Paddock close to pits ... like the track elevation changes (at the corkscrew)! Close to senic area of Big Sur.

Great event, actually the whole week is the event with the races being at the end of the week. If you are in Monterey in August, this is the place to be... assuming you like classic cars. Between Pebble Beach concourse, auctions, and the race events its a car lover's dream.
