We were surprised by the size of this facility. It is well organized and well run. My brother-in-law's service was held here with an outstanding presentation by the U.S. Marine Corps. There are so many services being held here that it is run on a strict time schedule. So don't be late.

Well organized, very somber and honoring. Clean restrooms (always a plus). Great staff. Well groomed grounds but being revamped. That was fine. Did not like the fact that there is still more room for our fallen soldiers. Peace would be fantastic (someday).

Beautiful, serene, and very respectable. Lost my father April of 2014, and he was in the Navy for 22 years, he is now interned there with my mom. The service they provided was very moving and very respectable.

I Have been here more times than I really wanted to be, but you can say that of any cemetery. It is a military site and so each time there has been an honor guard from the service of the decedent. I have no knowledge of the service given to the family( but didn't hear any complaints) ,however as a visitor it was well maintained, the staff got you to the right place for the service, parking was fine.

This is one the busiest National Cemetery in the United States. You will need help to find a burial site.

The moment you go through The Gates, you feel the Presence of Peace. It's a Big place and I like how it's away from the Big Cities. Worth the trip out there.

the ceremony for my grandfather was very nice and appreciative. however due to false paperwork being filled from a third party my grandmother was in essence blocked out of the decisions that were supposed to be my grand mothers wishes to take care of.. however since she was unaware of the papers filled the main office had told her more or less "ohh well its not their problem" and would do nothing to resolve this conflict.. other then that everything was very nice and appreciated

What a beautiful place. Came here for Veterans Day to honor all those who have died for our freedom. The memorial here is just beautiful. If you are in town just take 30 minutes and stop by this wonderful place. So peaceful.

I visited this cemetery, as I do other cemeteries, for historical reasons as well as to pay respect to our veterans. I wasn't considering it as a place to be interred. The Riverside National Cemetery was established in 1976, so its history is not as deep as other National Cemeteries. But the Medal of Honor Memorial is history writ big! You must visit and spend some time there. Being a newer cemetery, there are no upright headstones. All of them lie flat on the ground, which makes maintenance easier. The entire cemetery is very well maintained and is a pleasant and peaceful place to contemplate the world, its history and how these men and women helped to shape it.

A few years ago, we interred my father here. He was a WWII veteran, as well as a purple heart recipient. Only two years later, my mother joined him. Words cannot describe the peace and serenity that occurs when visiting my parents. Whenever I am there, which is often, I am so impressed by the care that is given to the grounds of this cemetery which is dedicated to our patriots and their spouses. I am overwhelmed by the graves of those who gave their lives to protect our country. This cemetery alone is a history lesson. When my mother's marker had a problem, I visited the cemetery's office. I requested a repair of the marker as it had sunk too far down into the ground causing it to be covered with mud. Within days, the problem was corrected. I was impressed and proud of the way they quickly dealt with my concern.Visiting a cemetery is not a typical outing, but if you visit the Riverside National Cemetery on Memorial or Veterans' Day, you will gain something that cannot be gotten anywhere else. You will come away with a distinct pride of country which you will never forget, and you will leave with the words, "God Bless You" to all who are there.

Riverside National Cemetery is large with many trees and ponds. It is peaceful and well kept. This is a Veterans Cemetery and it holds many military events. The Columbariums need some upkeep, but the lawn areas are well kept.

The Riverside National Cemetery is a beautiful place that shows the ultimate respect to former servicemen and servicewoman and their families. Staff is great, amazing the job they perform with the number of burials per day.

Very peaceful, and gave us a chance to honor our fallen soldiers. Makes you sad when you see the names of the soldiers, as well as how unfortunate it is that the USA has been involved with so many wars. The statues, and marble wall with the names of all the soldiers, just makes you want to cry.
