Lots of great food and gifts! Food is outstanding. People very nice. I buy things for Christmas and other gifts and occassions there too.

Great way to start the tour. Lots of things to look at in the vendor booths. Found a great place and bought a new purse, which I love. Went back and ordered one for my sister for Christmas (don't tell her). We were here on a weekday. I can tell it must be a real zoo on the weekends - they run shuttles because it gets so crowded.

Great place for kids to enjoy the pony rides, face painting and spend some time in a hay maze. Also there is nice seating area and I found the lunch menu reasonable and the food was good. The first thing I saw when I walked in were the apples, caramel apples, angry birds apples (fun for the kids), cashew brittle and so many other wonderful sweets. I recommend the caramel marshmallow, its delicious.

Back home we cannot grow apples. One fine day, my brother took us to this apple farm in Placerville. Lo and behold, what a refreshing sight to see rows of apple trees abundant with fruits in this lovely farm, Abel's Acres. Went there with my family and truly enjoyed the whole day experience. We bought apple pie, apple tarts, apple muffins, apple candies and jars of apple sauce and jam. This is an activity that tourists should not miss. Next time I go back to California, I would love to go back to Abel's Acres.

This is always a place we hit when coming to the Apple Hill every year. They have a nice gift shop, and the staff is always very friendly and curious as to where you are from. I manage to buy something every year and the prices are not bad.

I bought an apple strudel, a small jar of apple butter, and an apple fritter. All were terrific and the prices were more reasonable than High Hill (which is the huge apple place closest to Highway 50). There was plenty of nice seating available with nice views. We came on a Thursday and there was still a small line to pay for our items. I have heard its very crowded in this entire area on weekends in the fall.

This was our first time taking our 5 & 6 yr olds and we had a great time. Aside from the apple donuts, brownies, fudge and the over the top candy apples, they had some fun activities for kids of all ages and enough room to spread out. We went early in the day when we could still park there, it gets very congested by mid-day. There was a maze where the kids could still see out to the parents, my daughter rode a horse for $6, they also have ponies for the little ones, my son got a tattoo, there was a toddler area and jumping equipment. There is no parking or admission fee but you will pay $3-10 for each activity. They also had art vendors and a BBQ stand with a lot of food. Overall, a great experience for the family.

It was nice and the people were nice. We enjoyed the store and the service. Will probably visit again.

We usually always stop at this place as we head out and down the hill leaving Apple Hill. Lots of selection, great BBQ and eating area, fun kid activities - we've been going here for years. And the parking is pretty easy too.

This one is yet another great ranch at Apple Hill. Nice area with picnic tables. There's usually pumpkins. Parking is fairly easy too. There's a nice assortment of crafts available at this ranch as well.

This is my favorite place to go in Apple Hill for doughnuts. We usually also buy some cider and I shop through the good variety of home-made gifts. If the hay maze and pony rides are there for the kids, that's good entertainment for them, too.

Very popular when Apple Hill first opens. Great location and options.

Take a quick detour off Highway 50 to Abel's Acres for the most amazing apple blueberry pie ever created. Not in the mood for pie? How about homemade fritter? Dumpling? Donuts smothered in cinnamon and sugar? Local apple juice or cider? There are heartier foods as well, but c'mon, you know you came for the apple goodness.
