We were fortunate to meet the owner who told us that Treats makes all of their ice cream flavors -- they are organic, locally made and delicious. We had the mint chocolate chip and the basil ice cream. Amazing! Adorable shop with stainless steel tasting spoons. Just wonderful!!

Treats was mentioned in the Lonely Planet California guide, so it was odd not to find it on Tripadvisor already. Its a tiny little ice cream parlour (3 small tables or so), nestled just off the main street in Nevada City. There's a good range of freshly made ice creams in unusual flavours (lemon custard, anyone? It really worked!), and sundaes, milkshakes etc are also on offer. There is a range of cones to choose from including sugar cone baskets, with sugar cone products made on site. Plus delicious-looking cookies and brownies, with gluten free options available. Staff are incredibly friendly and tastings freely offered if too much choice makes decision-making difficult!We went for something sweet after a meal in the evening, and it was so good we hung around in town longer than intended so we could go back when it opened at 12pm the following morning. A must for children and lovers of quality sweet delights!
