I stop in the cellar door every once in a while by myself around 430 5 o'clock for a glass of wine it's pretty quiet and I don't feel awkward sitting at a bar alone.

A REAL Wine Bar - Not a tasting room pretending to be a wine bar - The Cellar Door is an actual wine bar which offers selections from three local wineries (Michael David, Jessies Grove, Van Ruiten). The Symphony from Michael David is a yummy white wine, light & sweet. Outside seating very relaxing along the Historic streets of downtown Lodi. Inside atmosphere could better. There is a 'spartan' lounge area with sofa, and two long bars with stools. And yes, there is a cellar where special events are held, music etc. Lodi has 60 wineries... The Cellar Door is cool place to begin or finish off your wine tour.
