Good link-style desert course. Pretty challenging from the tips, but a fair course. No tricky gimmicky holes - straightforward golf. I'll play it again when in the area.

I was sitting in my motel room wondering what to do. I had brought my golf course on this vacation as i always do, but I wasn't going to play in San Diego. Boredom got the best of me and I wanted to find a place to play. I contacted a local golf pro and he suggested Salt Creek.. I am glad he did. What a course, and the value was grea with the everyday weekday green fee is $38 which includes a cart. The course was exceptional. It was a "desert links style" course and was a challenge to play but wasn't so hard that it wasn't enjoyable. I was impressed with the pro shop staff and Armondo was very helpful when I checked in telling me about the course. I talked to Gary Matthews the course's head pro about the history of the course and how it was one of the best values in the San Diego area. I will definitely return and play Salt Creek when I return to San Diego.

Well maintained, but bring a lot of golf balls. This links course is sure to swallow a few. Challenging yet fun.
