This was a course where you had to be consistently precise or you have lost the ball. It was extremely hilly, but very fun. Facilities were average, but this is not an expensive place. $70 weekday for two, including cart.

This is a wonderful foothills course in a wooded setting with great detail to the natural surroundings as well as planted rhododendrens, azaleas, roses throughout. The holes are high and low, requiring some sturdy climbing in some spots. Quite a challenge for the first time. The greens are undulating, fast, and can be tricky in the putting department. Fairways are still in good shape. I would definitely go back to try again!

I've played Apple Mountain for many years. The course is in very good condition and the green are PERFECT!!!. They are "true" unmarked by ball marks...super fast and just beautiful. As always, the views are beautiful. This place is untouched by any recent fire and again, is in the best condition ever....I want to go back and soon!!!!!Mike

This is not a course you want to walk. Very difficult when it is cart path only. Beautiful holes with perfect greens. Pace of play is a little slow but worth it for the views. Food and booze are just so-so.

May 14, 2014 three friends and I played this course. Great condition, beautiful views, friendly staff and make sure you have Julie cook you her world famous breakfast eggs and hash browns with bacon.......Mountain wild flowers were in bloom on almost every hole and the overall experience was first class...I'm already looking forward to my return...Mike

This course is beautiful, in great shape, and a great destination. But it's not easy and better bring plenty of balls. It's not very long, but there are lots of elevation changes and not much room for wayward shots. Of course you're likely to find someone else's ball while you're off looking for yours, so that helps! But the real challenges are the large, often potato-chip-shaped greens. If you finish the day with no 3-putts, THAT's an accomplishment.

We had the pleasure of playing apple mountain golf course recently. And I do mean a pleasure. This is one of the most beautiful courses we have ever played. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so welcoming. The guys in the pro shop were friendly and helpful. But, the course itself is what takes center stage. Now this course is not for the faint of heart. You must thoughtfully make every shot, especially when near the greens. There are no level greens, so read your course guide. Many elevated tees provided spectacular scenery. The course was in great shape. We will definitely be back here.

I had the opportunity to play at Apple Mountain on Sunday July 7th for the first time in nearly 16 years. I have to say that it has become a new favorite for me. First class service and one of the more challenging courses in the area. You don't have to hit it long but you'd better hit it straight. Once you're on the green your challenges are only half over. The subtle mounding and the seemingly gravity defying breaks will have you shaking your head. But it is a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Unbelievably maintained and manicured. A must play. I rate it in the top 2 percent of all courses. Challenging and ohh so rewarding.
