I found the wetlands when I was out for a summer walk. The area is beautiful and offers all types of nature from birds to plants to fish. It is a nice place to take the dog for a walk or just a peaceful stroll.

This is a 470 acre wildlife preserve along a scenic stretch of land on the San Joaquin River. With easy walking trails , beaver ponds, tidal wetlands and marsh areas. This is a great place to walk without to much effort. After you get to the ponds you will find benches and viewing decks for watching the wildlife. View birds, beavers, otters, turtles & more. There are a few picnic benches. I suggest you take plenty of water a hat, sunblock and a lunch to eat at one of the picnic tables. You can enter at the small gravel parking lot on 10 st or park at the Marina on L St and walk in
