This was a real favorite for us. It was a really nice 30 minute drive from Harrahs. We signed up for a players card and received a two for one buffet on Thursdays and we were given 10.00 each of free gambling money. The sand at this beach is as nice as in the Caribbean or Mexico but the water even though a pretty blue did not look inviting. a tiny tiny area to swim anyways. Very nice palapas to lounge under. Nice grounds to walk to. This was a pleasant afternoon outing. The food was good at the buffet and there was something I could eat on a gluten dairy and fat free diet. it was a huge selection and the desserts were not the best but it was very good just the same. All staff friendly. Thursday are their two for one and if you wait to have a bit later lunch you can beat the line ups

That is what I experienced during my visit in the casino area, servers were mostly quick and the beer ice cold and served in bottles rather than cans.

I have been staying and playing at the AVI for 9 years...it has changed for the worse in the past 3 years due to a management change. Attitudes of staff, like poop. flows down hill. If you win money consider yourself blessed...it is very rare. The food is also over rated. Basically the crowd is elderly and handicapped with a side order of frustrated and to blind to realize the odds are stacked against them really sad!

My family has been visiting Avi for the last 5 years. We usually get free room offers about twice a year and always used this opportunity to visit Laughlin. We usually do a day trip to Oatman, Havasu, or Kingman. The drive on the old Route 66 from Oatman to Kingman or Kingman to Oatman depending on your direction of travel is great.

we enjoyed all of the slot machines here though did not win much...ha...they seem to have all of the very new machines. it's very nice inside, no complaints! in the middle of nowhere also....we stopped on the way from Laughlin to London Bridge...

We stay here on every trip to Laughlin and thoroughly enjoy the experience. The beach tower rooms are spacious and soundproof. The Avi cares about seniors, offering specials on Wednesday and BOGO on Thursday at the buffet. Make sure you try the fruit flambé over ice cream!

Was surprised at how well kept the hotel hallways and rooms were. Stayed in a two queen Beach Tower room so it was a step above the standard as they were already sold out. No view, but a nice room with a super bed.The check in staff were all smiles and talked while checking us in. Parking was easy. Did not do the buffet, but had a late night biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns. They were ok, nothing really good or great.Spent little time at the casino (there is nothing else real close) and drove into Fort Mohave and Needles. If you want things to do and see this is not the area. If you want a few drinks and some fast food this area works just fine, but anything other than the casino you will need to drive to.Actually, go to Laughlin to stay as there is more to walk and do.

Being a local snowbird, we have considered the Avi our home for 14 years. In the last year the management has hired new food management and they are certainly driving many of us away.Perhaps their purpose, but you don't take away what is bringing in money not only to restaurants but if we don't eat there we don't play there either.Favorites like Fajitas, breakfast specials and prime rib specials in Feathers have disappeared.Avianos no longer have the big salad bowl and pasta specials, and Moonshadows for special treat is pricing itself out of our budget. So I ask you.....did they hire new food management to drive us away to the downtown casinos, because they are certainly not catering to retirees and locals anymore.

Nice pool... Staff has gotten less friendly over the years it seems. No one in our large group had anything like a substantial win on any casino floor so it's just as well that our gathering is music oriented and the casino is there for extra entertainment, but the Avi is certainly not where I would head to engage in gambling for fun's sake.

This casino is ok, but it certainly isn't "cutting edge".You might like this place if you don't like the hustle and bustle of the bigger casinos. Most of the machines are dated and the tables look like they've been around for decades (as well as some of the dealers). But it gives a bit of a warm feel when you walk in, albeit a bit smokey. If you are a non-smoker you may not like this place, the ventilation system doesn't do a good enough job of cutting through the haze and smell. You won't win much here but you might do well with some of the table games.Good luck!

Avi is located in the very bottom tip of Nevada only a mile or two from California and just across the river from Arizona. We stopped by there and played the slots and video poker. While there we ate at the buffet. The food was good but not outstanding compared to some of the other buffets in Laughlin and Las Vegas. On Thursdays you can get 2 BOGO buffet lunch with a players card.It was good and a great price but so crowded and had to stand in line for 30 minutes to get is and seated. The lines at the buffet were long and slow also with some items being gone. The service for the drinks was okay but not too friendly. We stood in line at the players club for 20 minutes because they had only one person working. The machines were tight and don't pay offf good.

we stopped to gamble and ended up getting a room . wished we would have left earlier and gone home ..didn't realize but the room is a not the cleaniest room i have seen .. went to make a cup of coffee and had 1 pack of supposedly sugar creamer and stirrers .when i picked it up it was already used and left here .. the table has coffe spills on it .. the tub has 5-6 long black hairs in it ... not to sure about this hotel as being called a resort with this kind of rooms that they sell to there customers ....ice machine on the first floor said out of order for 12 hours ...

I really think this is a great little option by the river lots of changes to AVI casino since last visit. I never win so this will always keep casinos in business with me. But buffet was great and room was good size. But staff and clean casino are a plus here. Valet service top notch to. I wish the weather had been better to enjoy the outdoor areas. Pool looks very good and area has really come along way.I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Used to like coming here a few times a year, but things have gone downhill. Same old slot and video poker machines, small sports book, and no more inexpensive food deals. It is not the same. Rather stay on the Laughlin strip.
