This place is a bit rough around the edges, but the healing waters are worth going for. Pay a bit more and get the private tub room that can hold a small group. You can use this exclusive room for two hours time, choosing a tub by the posted water temp. on the board at the front desk. This is much nicer than being in the large pool with many folks and outside cold air. The soaking is all good here. No rotten egg smell, but clean warm water to cure what hurts. You will leave feeling pretty darn good. As others have posted, the place is a bit dated and could use some improvements, but the rustic charm was ok with us.

After a day of skiing at Diamond Peak we went to Carson City & Hot Springs via Virginia City. The springs were easy to find & get to. As it so happened we were there on a discount day. The area was in good shape. We found the outside 98 degree pool enjoyable. The warmer 104 degree jetted tub was also good. We also paid extra for a private 104 degree tub. We rotated our 2 hour time among all 3. In hindsight the indoor room was not necessary & found the 6 X 8 area a little claustrophobic & subject to echoing. The waterfall stream was a little bit heavy for my liking.

While I enjoyed a private spa tub, which was clean and the water soothing, the bathroom/changing area left a lot to be desired. The woman's area is way too small for the amount of users - one toilet, one shower, and one small changing area with a curtain. The floor is continually wet and unappealing to walk on. The price was reasonable, but I probably won't visit again unless there are some upgrades.

The Carson hot springs has a swimming pool with delicious 100 F water, it also has private tubs with variable temperature water. Very basic, nothing fancy. What I really didn't like was seeing rust on the private spas, actually, I don't think these tubs get cleaned that often which is kind of gross...The place is OK, and I definitely felt renewed after visiting the hot springs, but I wish they took care of the place a little better.

A drive from San Francisco to Carson City on the beautiful Siera mountains and Lake Tahoe.we drove from San Francisco at 7 am after breakfast over the golden gate through the countryside and many counties. We made a stop Lake Tahoe for a drink

Best water I have found bar non. Have been to 15 hots all over this water is perfect not overly Silverton but enough with other minerals that you skin says thank you. And you don't need a shower afterwards. Many different temperatures in the spa rooms very good value. Not fancy like some in Colorado but better water better temperatures and more friendly. Should be in activities area.

Rustic but very enjoyable. Never been to any hot springs before so cannot compare but was fun for us. The senior discount made it well worth the trip. Will visit again next year

My brother and I are Seniors so the admission was $8. each. There is a large pool with no or very little chlorine. There is a shallow end and a deep end and the temperature is quite warm, until 8 or 9 pm, there is a sort of water spout that comes from the roof of the building and drops into the pool. This is a great thing to stand under, it feels wonderful on the back. ( Ladies if wearing a Bikini, hang on to it). There are two smaller pools: One very hot and one cooler. At night they have fires burning for ambience. We have been there twice and find it to be a fabulous experience. We are going again in January. I recommend this spring for any age.

As a 20 + year resident I must recommend this. It is very "western" and not what you would call high end but it is just plan comfortable and a great place to soak up true mineral hot springs.

Love this place...kinda funky but think that's the charm...The place is clean and very affordable 10.00 for the whole day... 7:00am to 10:00pm ..private rooms are also rented by the hour and are very nice with varied water temperatures in each room. they will even provide you with a bathing suit and towel if you dont have one with you. the staff were very friendly as were the hot springs pool patrons...WONDERFUL PLACE ...will visit every time I am in the area

We probably should have visited while the weather wasn't like 100+ fahrenheit, but it's still pretty relaxing in the mini spa rooms. It was kind of expensive though ($15/person for 2 hours) considering that the heat got unbearable well before time was up.

Visited with small kids on a very cold January day and the water was sooo fine! Warm as a bath! The pool has space enough for swimming, relaxing and having fun. However, the facilities may seem a little small, but you get everything you need for a pleasant afternoon.

Once you get past the look of the front and realize you're not going into the bar, you'll find the hot springs are everything you need for a good, long soak. We've gone there with the whole family and even the littlest ones enjoy a good long time. The water isn't so hot that you can't stay in the main pool and just float around and chat. Definitely a great place for a relaxing afternoon or evening. The building itself is an artifact and yes, take your flip flops!

Different days feature kids, women or men for half price. Already an inexpensive place for the family with a large 90 degree pool and 2 tubs with jets. Food and drinks are available but you're allowed to bring your own. Would recommend this place for a day outing in a no-smoking atmophere. Also you can leave and return the same day and they're open till ten at night.

Great place to relax! The waters are wonderful - just right for summer heat or winter cold. The outside pool and grounds are very nice and inviting. If you're in Carson City, it's easy access for a place to soak your bones. Fresh spring water is available to bottle to take home, too!
