Great little Casino in Downtown Henderson. Mostly all penny slots and VP.A wonderful café for really, really good meals at great prices. I had a hot turkey sandwich, made with real turkey breast. All the employees were super nice and willing to help. You can tell their customers enjoyed being there.

Great place to go when downtown Henderson. Small but homey. They make sure you are taken care of, always talking with you like you are family. Always having some kind of promotion going on. Lots of special times for free food and drinks.

Several of my friends frequent Emerald Island Casino. I can't figure out why? I would guess it's because they don't drive any more and it's near their home or there's no other casino or restaurant within a 50 mile radius. Emerald Island Casino is in Downtown Henderson and not a very safe walking neighborhood. I will focus my review on the restaurant inside the Casino because I'm not a gambler. I usually go the Emerald Island Casino Restaurant in the early morning or at night. The restaurant is very small.The food tastes good and is cooked appropriately. The service is absolutely terrible with only 1-2 employees standing around talking or disappearing for 30 minutes at a time- repeatedly during the same meal! Prepare to wait for everything- every visit!: to be seated, receive the menu, to give a drink order, to receive the drink, to give your food order, to receive the food, to correct the incorrect orders, to receive the check and receive "take out" boxes which are always necessary because of resultant time delays caused by not finding our servers, and later to pay at the register.) Sadly, many of my friends walk out without tipping the server and I usually tip only the minimum here. It used to bother me but we're not even receiving the "minimum" of service. I ask my friends why they keep patronizing such a poor service restaurant? "Emerald Island Casino comps food and gifts to regular players."

I was introduced to this place by a friend who lives there. A true local casino. They bring around drinks, like all of them, sometimes they add homey extras like tacos or strawberry shortcake too. Not as big as the strip or downtown casinos, I think there slots are a bit less stingy. I'll go there every Vegas trip. It's just likable.

You feel like part of the family -- locals visit daily and there are specials every day. Restaurant has fantastic food at very reasonable prices and can even use Player Card points for food.

This small casino is located in the older section of Henderson; off of Water Street. Nearby are Town Hall, Henderson Police Dept. and Henderson FD main offices.The inside is very clean, and the staff is very attentive and cordial. As always, it is best to get a players card. Emerald Island's card is a bit different when it comes to the infamous "comps", but well worth getting. They also partner with local companies to get discounts using your points. Another way to use your points is to buy items at their reward center. Since it is a smaller casino, (400 machines) there is no card reader or redemption machine for winnings. You must go to rewards desk, where an employee will check your points. Your winnings are collected at the cashier cage. Again, very friendly staff at the cage.The slots, keno and video poker machines were all up to date. They are all pennies, but obviously you can play all the way up to $5.00 from what I saw.On my first visit, I had enough points to get a coupon for a free breakfast skillet and another for a free hamburger platter. The food was EXCELLENT. Our server was very nice and attentive, even though he knew we were getting free meals. (Please remember that even when you get free food, a nice tip for good service is proper etiquette.) I will definitely go back to not only get my free hamburger platter, but to play and hopefully win again.

Great place to be part of a "local family" feel if you are gambling, eating or just taking in one of their promotional Activities -- I find their wait staff to be one-of-the-best in keeping drinks filled while you are playing at a machine. Be advise there are no table games here at all....all slots. Yes you can & will lose money but you knew that when putting in your $$$ into a machine. Food in the restaurant is good and I like the fact that you can order food at the machine and eat while you play. And on food promotions....you can eat for free and get quite full.This is a local hang-out so opportunity to see many who frequent weekly makes for added fun. Great hospitality by the staff and we always visit when in town.

Thank god it was only $20.00 bucks in a machine. But that made me realize that i have never won there..... And It only takes seconds to smell like a ash tray. And I don't smoke. They need smoking filters badly.

Old downtown Henderson. Cocktail servers always around. Small restaurant with good selection of food. Inexpensive. Free food served to players on casino floor. Friendly staff. Daily promotions spice things up abit. Smoky. One reviewer incorrectly mention they make there own micro brew (Ellis Island casino does). No card games, just slots.

This restaurant is small & usually the food is quite good. However, my family & I went there for breakfast last Sunday, and we were disappointed. Had to ask the waitress for our drinks, which we ordered right away, but they didn't arrive. The food was luke warm at best.

At the entrance to the creatively named Emerald Island Grille, I saw a sign publicizing a breakfast special of 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and 2 pancakes for $2.22 which we ordered knowing neither of us would be able to clean our plates. Considering the locale and clientele, our meals turned out to be better than expected and, at that price, a definite steal, but when I received our check it was priced at $3.99 each. I brought the mistake to the cashier's attention and after much back and forth followed by my re-checking the sign, I realized the name of the special was 2-2-2, not the price. Oh my, sometimes it ain't easy being a senior.

The casino is not as flashy as others and kind of common, the food in the restaurant however was very good. They also have an on site micro brewery, so if you like beer, check it out.

A nice small comfortable casino. They advertise themselves as the only "All Penny Casino" in Nevada. An older place in downtown Henderson. They have a restaurant that gets crowded towards dinner time as they offer players free food with a certain amount of free play. If you take out orders they charge you a dollar extra for each order which is not common in other restaurants. The owners visit the floor all the time so if you have a complaint they will listen to you.

If you are going to be on Water St in downtown Henderson, give this casino a try. It is one of the original casinos in downtown.It is a locals favorite.

Snuggled in downtown Henderson, definitely worth multiple visits. Bar was kool. Variety of slots terrific. All people working there friendly and pleasant.
