This attraction will receive ratings based on your beliefs; if you believe in the paranormal you may find it interesting and if not, the stories are entertaining. We me a couple of folks that were going to be spending the night and according to him, if you are skeptical before spending the night, you won't be by the morning!!

I read the great reviews for this attraction. The building was dirty and dusty. We were paraded through rooms and was told unrealistic stories. To confirm the stories, the guide showed us pictures on his phone. Even my 10 and 12 year old kids said they could photoshop that. They do need money to renovate but I think they can find a better story than a haunted place.

We only had a few hours to kill in Virginia City before we had to fly out, so we were looking to get the most out of our limited time. We decided to visit the Washoe Club because I had read here that the guides do a good job of discussing the overall history of the town as well as the club. We were not disappointed! The tour was fantastic at introducing us to the history of Virginia City, the history of the building, and in mixing in the ghost stories. Even the members of our party who didn't want to go on the tour because they thought that "it would be stupid" were very impressed by the time it was over. During the tour, our guide (and self-proclaimed 20-year ghost hunter) showed us creepy "ghost" pictures on his phone that he or other tour groups had taken in the rooms we were in. It was a great time!

The tour guide was good & believable. It was a fun tour & worth the $7.50 for adults. We weren't rushed & could ask as many questions. All ages enjoyed this tour.

What a great tour with such interesting 'creepy' history! Fun for all ages. Highly recommend it for everyone. Very affordable prices. Honestly, I think the should charge more! It was worth it!

if you visit Virginia City, you already love history. If the spirit world is also on your "like" list, you won't be dissapointed in the "millionaires club", aka Washoe Club. If you are lucky enough to have a tour guide who truly loves the place, and has an open mind, you are sure to feel the presence of those who have passed over, and still frequent the place. Even for skeptics, the tour is full of factual history about the club, as it is essential to appreciating Virginia City's colorful past.

We did this tour just tonight. We took our 2 children aged 6-10 and they loved it. Our tour guide new all the history. It was a little daunting at first walking up the stairs in the dark but the tour guide delivered the stories and history in such a way that we were not creeped out at all. Our kids were abit scared in the beginning but loved it by the end. Its not for the faint hearted. At one point when our guide was telling us about the whiskey bottles that were found under the floor boards, we could smell a very strong old whiskey alcoholic smell. The room was very cold at the time. When we got home we uploaded our photos onto the computer and we have a number of photos with orbs in it. A lady with us on the tour had a device that looked for paranormal activity so I just kept clicking where the activity was strong on her device and we have some orbs on our photos. The history that goes with the ghost stories is fascinating. Definitely worth a visit. Don't miss it and even take your kiddies if you think they can handle it. My kids insisted on buying the book and getting Karl to sign it. They are reading it now very fascinated with this aspect of life.

I was feeling a creepy during the tour. Great tour. Neat history ..Loved it...anyway I stopped in the wine room during the tour, it was dark .. The tour walked to the next location, I stayed behind with my girlfriend.. I asked "is there anyone here?" I waited about 3 seconds in silence, Then I heard something shuffling in the corner of the room. I got so scaredI Turned to my girlfriend, she ran off scared... My heart was beating so fast From fear.. I ran back to the tour. People on the tour knew I looked shaken. That was a great !! but scary Experience. I would go back . Skip the questionsThis time hehe.. Don't forget to visit the cemetery on the way out of town.Another creepy place for a walk.

Wow.....Yes this is haunted. Loved the tour. Plenty of pictures with orbs. My slightly skeptical husband was pushed more than once and best of all I caught it on film. Needless to say he is a believer. The paranormal activity started before the tour started. I left the bar to use the ladies room in the museum area. The door from the museum back to the bar was a double door. When I pulled the one side open the other door flew open and hit me hard in the forehead. The camera malfunctioned a few times. Picture taken in museum looking towards crypt was totally out of focus (only time this has happened) but is filled with orbs. See picture.Don't miss this tour!

We toured the museum and the upstairs of the bar. Our guide was very knowledgeable and recounted several unusual experiences he has personally had. There are a few sets of stairs so it would not be accessible for a handicapped person. I would like to go again and at $8 it's very affordable.

Ok, I am not a believer of ghosts, and I still have my reservations. I took a tour with some "sensitives" (people who say they can feel the presence of ghosts and "entities").....lucky me.

Even if you don't believe in ghosts like I do, you should take the tour to see all the architecture. It's amazing how someplace that looks so small can actually be so large - almost like the Doctor's TARDIS. Kevin is the best tour guide I've ever had. I've actually been on the tour three times and can't wait to go again. I don't think you can post links on Trip Advisor but if you'd like to see my photos look up JamiSings on Flickr and check out my albums.

The guide was simply terrific, he knew his stuff and put it across in such a way that you followed his words and actions do very closely. Great fun and well worth the visit.

I was very excited on my recent trip to Virginia City to find that they had started giving daytime tours to the Old Washoe Club. I have watched both episodes of Ghost Adventures and was intrigued. While I didn't see anything on this visit or get any photographic evidence, I enjoyed the building itself and the stories from our enthusiastic tour guide. It was well worth the fee.

It was excellent if you're looking for ghost hunting spots and want to be creeped out. This place CERTAINLY will accomplish that. You couldn't pay me to go back in for the tour, but the museum is interesting and the staff are friendly. And the drinks are strong, so if you need a bit of liquid courage before the tour that's helpful!
