This was my fifth trip to Front Sight. The previous 4 were with my wife, who graduated from a rank beginner (like myself), somewhat afraid of her firearm and certainly nervous of all the noise associated with several hundred shots being taken at targets (from multiple ranges) to being very comfortable and safe in her gun handling, and I will admit, to being a more accurate shooter than myself. This trip I went with my Brother in law and a close friend. Took the four day defensive handgun course. Though I had taken this before I really enjoyed getting back to basics and slowing down the pace for better learning. Watching my companions first being nervous at having a gun on their hip, to becoming comfortable with their firearms and improving their handling and shooting was a great experience. My friend said that, when I returned from my first trip and told him how good an experience it was, and how tired I was at the end of each day, he had internally scoffed. Now he understood....The instruction really is as good as the other reviewers so eloquently say. The atmosphere is safety driven and I have never felt inadequate even among the other "better" students, and certainly not by the staff who at all levels have always been very helpful and supportive. Yes the email barrage from Dr. P is never ending, but then so are the advertisements on billboards or TV about things that I will never buy. I do read most of his emails and some have great information, some are repetitive, and some get trashed in the first few seconds of reading. No regrets about being involved and supporting Front Sight. Go try it out.

I have been attending Front Sight classes for 4 years now and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and safety is the watchword every day. I have taken handgun, rifle and am scheduled to take shotgun classes next week. Each day is full of instructions and range time and all of the students are expected to monitor themselves and the other students for safety as well as techniques in gun handling. At lunch, either bring your own or pre-order from their recommended supplier, there are lectures classroom style training classes to ensure that you understand the responsibility that you have to accept as a gun owner. As for lunch, the cafe that you can pre-order from supplies great meals with many choices and everything is delivered to the main meeting hall, ready to eat.I enjoy Front Sight very much and have accompanied friends there and everyone has enjoyed their time on the range.

The highly professional staff had me shooting at the targets creditably, at the end of the two-day course. Safe practices are highly emphasized, and good form is patiently drilled. I was very pleased with the 2-day Defensive Hand Gun Course, and happy that my husband had persuaded me to take it with him.

This was my fifth class from Front Sight and this time was just as good as ever. They train thousands of individuals every year on all types of guns and they have it down to a science. Doesn't matter if you're 75 or 15 years old you'll be a better shooter and a safer gun owner at the end. Highly recommend for everyone!

This was my sixth trip to Front Sight for firearms training and I am ALWAYS impressed by the quality of the instruction! Safety is their number one concern but that doesn't interfere with their ability to give first-class firearms training. The instructors are all experienced, knowledgable, friendly, caring, and meticulous with the details of proper shooting. If you're looking for world-class firearms training, Front Sight is THE place to go!

i was invited to a "birthday shoot".... basically, $50 to cover a background check, bring my own equipment and ammo.... 4 days of shooting and training.I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! not many if any courses let you, or allow you to draw from a holster,,,, what the hell good is that .... unless you defend yourself from a static bench, you will be drawing from a holster. you draw from your holster, on the firing line, over and over and over.... you do it so much, it becomes second nature. this course blew me away and i felt very very comfortable when completed. i bought a membership, had my own birthday party and invited dozens and dozens of people.... 15 showed up..... so many said "i know how to shoot!" WELL, so does a 5 year old that watches t.v.!!become extremely well trained, take a course and be prepared better than 90% of the people you will deal with.my wife used to run out of the house at the first whiff of gun cleaning solvent,,,, took her for a 4 day course, she was deathly afraid of guns. day 1 - scared, tired, pissed off. day 2 - fingers taped, feet hurt, but she was hitting the target better and better. at lunch she asked our instructor to try other calibers (she had a walther 9mm) she shot a .40 and a .45.... she loved the 1911 .45.day 3 - couldn't wait to get to shooting, smashed the live round shoot house, didn't go to sleep after the night shoot. day 4 - the last "test" we did was a man on man plate shoot, hit the target of an iron silhouette, and the plate drops, next target (3 total), she is matched up with a SWAT sergeant from L.A. .... technically, she beat him on rounds in the ring, but her 9mm took 3 shots to drop the last plate. so here is susie home maker beating sergeant swat in 4 days,,,, no , and i mean no gun experience, and she went to the end with this sergeant. THAT IS A COMPLETE AN VERY SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE INCREDIBLE TRAINING AT FRONT SIGHT,,,, one of my guest was from Dublin Ireland,,,,, NEVER even held a gun, and was doing really really well by the end.you can find cheaper courses,,, and cheap guns..... ask yourself, if the unfortunate happens , and you are forced to defend your loved ones or yourself...... is that what you really want? less expensive training? after that 4 day course, my wife asked if she could have her own membership? how could i say no?!?

This is one of the best training facilities particularly for the beginning or novice shooter. Instructors are very knowledgeable, experienced and the entire training experience is safety first. Having attended several levels of handgun courses and basic practical rifle, I can attest that the range masters, range officers and supervisor's can and are willing to help shooters of any level. It's truly amazing what one can learn here in a 2 or 4 day course.

This is my third course at Frontsight, and the routine is regimented for a reason - safety. The course instructors are excellent, and instructive and supportive on the range without making you feel ignorant. The only bad question is one not asked, and they mean it. They also have fun drills, such as shooting in multiple positions, and shooting competitions. If you are serious about learning about guns and gun safety, this is the place

Excellent staff and some of the best civilian training you can get. Make no doubt, you will become better after one of their 4 day classes. Watch the weather forecast and prepare accordingly though, as you train no matter what it's doing. The instructors are friendly and joke around. As long as you keep an open mind and aren't too stubborn and stuck in your ways, you will improve. There's always as least one nugget you'll come away with that'll make you a better shooter.

We will be attending our 4th defensive handgun class in a year. We have attended two 2 day and two 4 day classes. The instructors are amazing as they work with you to improve your skills whether you are a novice or expert. It is easy to see why people continually return. Safety is number one priority! It was also fun to shoot an Uzi and a Tommy gun as I have never shot a fully automatic gun!

This was the 2nd visit my wife and I have made to the 4 day defensive handgun training. Once again amazing program and I see why so many keep coming back. The instructors work with you building on your current skills whether that is novice to expert. As many others have said. We will be back.

Every time I go, I improve and will continue to do so. I liked it so much, I purchased 30 lifetime memberships for friends and family so they could go affordable. This time I went with 2 Marine buddies, one for the second time, but for the new one, he could not believe how much fun and how much he learned. My wife went from not wanting to touch a pistol, to handling one safely, presenting from the holster, hitting the target, reloading, clearing jams and more. I am not saying this is the only good school out there, but you will not be disappointed.

This was my second visit to front sight. I took the four day defensive handgun course. You definitely get out of it what you put into it. Safety is the number one priority of the instructors. The instructors were very attentive to your skill level and taught you exactly what you needed to know . I was in a class of 40 students of all ranges and skill levels and I still felt like I got one on one training for what I needed. I will definitely be back for more courses in the near future.

This is my seventh trip to FS from Minnesota. I learn more every time. I've changed from a novice to an expert shooter.

Front Sight is awesome! I have been multiple times. My kids have been to the kid class. I have brought as many family and friends as I can. If you want to learn how to use a gun this is the place for you. I can't speak highly enough of the training I have received here.
