If you've already walked the dam, prepare for one more cardio event. Roughly 1/2 mile of walking (uphill) to get the foot of this bridge, but so worth it. The bridge soars almost 900' above the river and makes the dam look... not big. Solid, high wall between walkway and road (you cannot see the dam from the road in a normal car or SUV), but a chest-high railing between the walkway and the river below. Perfectly safe, but not for those afraid of heights. Bring a stand or something to extend your camera above - and over - the railing for some truly breathtaking pictures.

The view from the bridge, looking at Hoover Dam and Lake Mead beyond is nothing short of phenomenal. I've been there several times and it still is thrilling to see it from such a fantastic viewpoint

We walked across the bridge on a sunny and warm day. The views of the dam and lake mead are amazing. You are very high up so those with vertigo may not enjoy the walk. It is an easy walk end to end.

If you park in the free parking lot at the base of this attraction, it will take you less than 10 minutes to get to the bridge. There are stairs and a rampway to the top. Once on the bridge, it is a high sight to the dam. Check your clock to make sure the shadows don't interfere with your pictures.

This recently built bridge is just below Hoover Dam. On the north side of the bridge is a pedestrian walkway that allows pedestrians to safely walk out on the bridge and have a spectacular view of Black Canyon and Hoover Dam. Even for older folks like me, the walk from the parking lot onto the center of the bridge is an easy one. The view with which you are rewarded is well worth the effort. Along the walk there are a variety of interpretive displays that explain how the bridge was built, the timeline, etc. For the really ambitious hikers, you can park your car near the Lake Mead Visitors Center at the trailhead for the Historic Railroad Tunnels Hike and hike the 3 1/2 miles from the trailhead to the bridge (which is what we did). It's a beautiful view and it's free! It's also close to the dam itself so one can park near the dam and take tours around the dam and as well as tours offered inside the dam. Great attraction that doesn't involve casinos or gambling.

We were on a bus tour so we didn't have time to walk all the way across the bridge. Wish we would have driven so we could have walked across to the Arizona side and back. This is such a beautiful bridge that even looks wonderful from the air flying into Las Vegas.

Walk across this bridge to see all of the Hoover Dam from high up! It is a eye opening experience! You can also take great pictures from there of the Hoover Dam! We enjoyed our walk across and back again! Well worth your while!

Nobody should NOT go see the Dam from the FREE vantage point provided at the O'Callaghan-Tillman pedestrian bridge at the Hoover Dam. I'm permanently disabled. I'm unable to climb very many steps, especially downward, and long inclines are trouble for me, too, Fortunately, the switchbacks that are built up to the bridge are not very steep at all. No problem for a wheelchair or walker. And, for those more able, steps at each level take you right up to the top. It's really not very far, either. It' looked a lot worse from the bottom. At a couple of circular rest stop landings near the top, displays are set up highlighting the planning, preparation and construction of the bridge and dam. In one location, a small scale true physical demonstration of the actual techniques used in how they mated the gorge walls to the dam, creating the solid Hover Dam edges, is there. It's actually quite amazing. Lots of interesting facts are shown. Warning - the bathrooms in the parking lot are atrocious! They are much more like outhouses than bathrooms. All four are "unisex," and no sinks or place to wash up is available. At least they had some hand sanitizer by the doors. So, try not to need to "go" before or after your excursion. No other amenities exist at this platform or parking area. Nothing is available within walking distance from here. So, bring your own drinks with you, and make sure everybody is well hydrated before going up on a hot or humid day. I wonder how many cell phones are at the bottom of that gorge where everybody stands above and takes photos? LOL

We took a stroll across the O'Callaghan-Tillman Bridge. It's not very long and the views, although perhaps not for those with fears of heights, are fantastic. If you're squeamish about heights, walk along the concrete divider that separates the pedestrian walkway form the high. You'll experience the beauty of the area without a direct exposure to how high you are.

Now the new bridge that replaced the only way to go from Nevada to Arizona, this really is a marvel. I walked across it and stopped at several places and got some great photos of the dam and Lake Mead. If you get a chance to stop along the way, do yourself a favor and check it out, its worht the time to stop!

If you visit the Dam itself then you really have to take a stroll along the memorial bridge on your way out. The view is fantastic and there is no better way to view the dam. It is quite a walk up to the bridge but there are places to stop and sit along the way. The toilets in the car park are a little interesting (I'll leave you to visit yourself and you'll understand what I mean) but they are kept very clean.

It's an amazing bridge. You can see the Hoover Dam from it and vice versa. It's an obligated stop if you visit the place and the ideal opportunity to watch the greatness of the US nation.

Could park fairly close to the stairs that accessed the bridge. I believe there were about 70 steps, but there was also an incline for those that have a hard time with stairs. The view is outstanding, and there are a lot of plaques explaining the construction of the bridge.

Fantastic engineering and aesthetic work. The bridge pedestrian walkway lets you look back at Hoover Dam and into the Colorado River canyon, but you can't really see the bridge while on the bridge. To appreciate the architecture and beauty of the bridge you need to go to Hoover Dam to look downstream to the bridge - it is worth the trip (plus you get a chance to check out Hoover Dam up close)

Excellent views of Hoover Dam. You do have to walk the whole way from the parking lot and across the bridge. We hiked 5-7 miles each day, so this wasn't really difficult, just be prepared.
