This was one stop on a wine tasting day with my parents and kids which was really fun, this was not our favorite place.

The wife and I stopped here with the kids on our way to Portland. It's a small winery, family owned. They were great with our kids, who have absolutely no interest in us stopping to taste wine. They let them have some cheese, crackers and soda. The wine was good too. Interesting story about how they got started, but you'll have to visit to find out. Oh, we didn't see any Martians while we were there but there was some vine circles in the vineyard. Maybe we just missed them

A small jewel of a winery located in Oregon's Umpqua Valley. A wonderful place to visit. The owners, Fran and Greg Cramer are congenial hosts who take time to talk about their wine and wine making in Oregon. Their wines are excellent and range from a Tempranillo to a delightful viognier. The Tasting Room is also an art gallery with unique pieces from local artists for sale. Greg and Fran are classical music and opera aficionados and offer a series of chamber music and Eugene Opera outreach concerts throughout the year. Check their web page for upcoming events. We are local residents who enjoy visiting the winery and taking our out of town guests to experience a different kind of Oregon experience.

The two essential ingredients for an enjoyable visit to a winery are an excellent choice of wines and wonderful hosts. MarshAnne Landing has both in spades! I'm not a wine connoisseur but I enjoyed all of the wines offered. It was a diverse selection where each set-off all the others nicely. The prices are reasonable given the quality of the wine. The hosts, who are a husband and wife team that run this operation, are as special as the wine they produce. They are a genuinely warm, engaged and interesting couple who really make you feel as if you are visiting their home. We discovered a mutual interest in opera and in short order they were playing a magnificent collection of arias through their excellent sound system. Soon my friends and I and another couple were seated around the fireplace, drinking wine, listening to the magnificent duet from "The Pearl Fishers" and chatting about all sorts of interesting things. This is a small winery but a very special one nevertheless. You'll discover some great wines and have a fantastic time doing it. GO!
