This winery is awesome! We didn't take a wine we didn't like, and the host was well versed on everything "wine." Probably the best tasting experience we've ever had. A "must do" if you're in southern Oregon!

On a sunny afternoon we stopped by this winery. The setting is so serene with tables along the river. Great place to hold any large event. Loved the old barns/buildings that were remodeled by Eric Dietz, the vineyard manager. All four of us had a wine flight but to be perfectly honest...didn't love any of the four selections we tried. Felt slightly uncomfortable not buying wine....and I shouldn't. Also felt a slight bit of pressure. No thanks. I don't purchase wine unless I really like it and plan to drink it.

We've driven by this place a bazillion times (it's right off i5 just South of Roseburg) and finally decided to check it out. It's a very nice setting along the South Umpqua River with aging, but perfectly fine buildings and good outdoor seating. It feels more like a working vineyard as opposed to the marble, glass and chrome of nearby Abecela Vineyard. The two people working the tasting room were pretty good, the guy, was way more outgoing than the woman and spoke at length about the wines and the history of the place. We tasted all the reds they had available and one white. Given their price point(!) i have to say i wasn't bowled over with the exception of their 100% Cab Franc which was a standout. They were setting up for their Memorial Day "Oyster BarBQ" which looked to be quite the event. Were it less than 70 miles each way we'd probably return. I don't recall if they charge a tasting fee since we bought a bottle of Cab Franc and their also good White Meritage.

We have begun our tour of the 23 winery's in our area and this was our 4th stop. Our server was new, only there a few days so we didn't come away with much information and the prices were a bit high. They were out of my favorite, Malbec, and the other wines were just OK. Hubby and I didn't think they offered any reds that were spectacular and we are not white wine drinkers. Probably will try a taste of the Malbec but for the prices they ask, it has to be way above average to warrant the cost.

After attending the Rogue Creamery Cheese and Wine Fest, and 6 others wineries, this was the best experience. (Other than the other customer who was trying to show up the pouring staff with her unlimited knowledge of wine:-( )Wines were great, staff was wonderful, and the whole tasting experience was one of the best. Got a tour of the facilities. I had declared at the beginning of the year...no new wine clubs! But, I joined. They have a wine lounge in downtown Eugene and of course I had to visit...very nice and wonderful service. Great place to take visitors.

Pyrenees South (the north one is obviously north outside Roseburg) is a beautiful setting for a winery and tasting room Set on the South Umpqua River, scenic hills in the distance, you could hardly ask for a better venue for tasting excellent wine with friends. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. I belong to the wine club and am happy to do so.

I was pleasantly surprised when visiting this winery. Saw the billboard on the highway and perhaps did not expect much. A lovely vineyard and cute tasting room. The tasting offered a generous selection of enjoyable wines. The fee is $10, but waived with a purchase, I believe. Curtis (hope I got your name right!) was very friendly and informative. It was a quick stop off I-5 and worth the time.

Made you think you were in a small town in Italy. Very beautiful, simple and elegant. Great wines. We will come back again!
