I did the estate tasting for $15 and ended up taking several things home from the gift shop. The tasting itself wasn't mind-blowing, but the views from the winery were amazing. The day I went it was incredibly great weather. You have to check out the patio.

We arrived at the WVV Tasting Room late morning and were lucky enough to have Ben all to ourselves. He graciously poured some superlative wines and educated us on the complex soils of Portland wine country. We chose to do both the Red and White Daily Flight and the Reserve Tasting Flight. Fabulous. As if I could even fool Ben, I freely confessed to being a wine slob rather than a wine snob...I just drink what I enjoy regardless of rank or pedigree. He was so enthusiastic, open to questions, and non-judgmental. Thank you, Ben. We literally loaded up at WVV, happily lugging our precious cargo back to Houston. Cheers! Clink!

Haven't had such fun in a long time. Last day of The Oregon Grape Stomping World Championship was taking place as we arrived. 'I Heard it through the Grapevine' was resounding in the air and 12 'couples' were working together stomping their hearts out for the Title of World Champion. In the wine tasting Room a variety of 6 very fine wines were being offered. The view from the patio reminded me of a Tuscan Country Side, magnificent! I would recommend this side detour to everyone. Wine taster or not. A fine memory was made.

We visit wineries when travelling and took the opportunity to visit and taste while in the area. The facility is lovely with an upscale vibe to it. You can stand at the tasting bars or sit at small tables and have pairings with light foods. A grand piano sits in one corner across from large floor length windows looking out onto the terrace and valley. We tried a flight of 4 wines and enjoyed them all.

First, I have not been there on a weekend and it is probably good then too. We ended up there on a Thursday night after stumbling upon a great local farmers market next door. The tasting room was clean and modern but not cold. Katie or Kayla who was pouring was very knowledgable about the wine and the area. The locals and out of town tasters were all engaged and friendly. Most tasting rooms really look to pull you into their wine and while that was an element of Willamette Valley's McMinnville tasting room there was an effort made to get tasters to mingle and share. It seemed to create community with the experience we found nowhere else around McMinnville. Go, find a wine you like and enjoy the atmosphere. This is also a great before or after (if you saved room) dinner stop if you are eating Downtown.

We walked over and did the tasting room. Kevin, who coordinated the tasting, was really, really excellent and informative about the wines we tried. We ended up shipping a case of various offerings back to the East coast. The selections are excellent and I highly recommend this to anyone visiting McMinnville, the place is really lovely and the art inside is excellent.

Dropped in late in the day mid-week and were taken care of by Kevin. Enjoyed the wine, the education, had a few laughs, bought a couple bottles. Just one of several reasons we will recommend McMinnville to our friends.

Recently, I went wine tasting with a small group on Third Street in McMinnville. There are several wine tasting rooms & restaurants right on 3rd St. Willamette Valley is the best. They have comfortable couches, a long bar & a large wooden table that looks like it seats 20 or more people. This is great because several parties can be in the tasting room at once and still feel comfortable. We spent probably an hour there tasting wines and getting great information about the winery and wines from Kevin. We never felt rushed. We are wine club members.

At the end of two days of touring wineries in the Willamette Valley, we walked into this tasting room. On our way out west we'd ordered one of their wines at a fine restaurant, Portofino, in Lexington, KY, and immediately put W V Vineyards on our TO-TASTE list. There we met Steve Brusell, much to our delight. He couldn't have been a better representative. While this winery produces an incredible volume of wine, and we'd actually had one of their large-production wines in KY, Steve explained about their small production wines, 48 barrels, 28 barrels, and, for one of our favorites after tasting, only 7 barrels. You must try their reserve tasting flight to sample these small production wines. Steve knew these wines like old friends, and soon we felt like his old friends too. He answered questions, told about each vineyard, was patient when we said we needed one more taste of a previous wine to compare, and we finally filled a case with a mixture of these fine wines. At all the previous stops we'd bought one or two or no bottles at all. His enthusiasm for describing and sharing his wines were genuine and invigorating, and we will always stop by there when in Oregon. If you meet Steve, you'll see what we mean! Their wines are very special, one we bought strictly for a wedding present.....Jay and Sally, Winter Park, Florida and Jonas Ridge, NC.

Located in downtown McMinnville, this tasting room features a beautiful wooden bar on which to enjoy their fine wines. The tasting costs $10 and can be shared, which we did because we planned to visit several wineries that day. We chose this as one of our stops because we can get their Pino Noir in North Carolina.

We wandered in when enjoying the shops in McMinnville and were greeted by Kevin and Kaylee (sp?). They were busy but made us feel welcome and attended to at all times. Even though closing time passed, Kevin made sure we tasted all of the wonderful wines and that we did not feel the least bit rushed...even on Labor Day weekend. Kudos to Kevin and Kaylee for being outstanding representatives for the Vineyards!

What a fabulous place to do a wine flight! Kendra and Kevin were both so welcoming! Kendra was the perfect balance of knowledgeable and down-to-earth. The wine was delicious and even better the price is right. If you're wine tasting in McMinnville this is a must go.

Kendra and Kaylee were great servers of fine wines. The horseshoe bar in the middle of the facility makes a more social environment for conversing with other visitors.

The woman pouring for us was very informative and the pouring room is great to look around while you taste. She gave me a second try and I appreciated that offer as you know, some wines begin to taste similar toward the end of a long wine-tasting day!

We travel to OR once a year and we visit the center everytime, we love their wine and purchase it by the case as we cannot by it where we live!
