A great little hike if you would like to enjoy an easy hike with a nice reward of a beautiful fall at the end. Pack a little picnic lunch and after a 45 minute to an hour easy hike in (depending on your pace) enjoy the site of a great little horsetail type fall. We took our time strolling to the falls. It's well traveled but didn't seem overrun. Highly recommended for an easy impromptu day.

This hike follows the Pacific Crest Trail most of the way. The turn off to the Falls is well marked. The trail is well maintained and elevation climb minimal. The waterfall is beautiful. Overall about 4.2 miles there and back. Easily done in a few hours. Well worth it. City of Cascade Locks is down and out. The icecream store that has been made famous by the book Wild is so busy and crowded and the service so poor that we finally gave up and left. And overall that is about all the town has to offer.

This is a beautiful hike with a gorgeous waterfall at the end but this map is incorrect as to where it is. I live in Cascade Locks and have been to it many times. Find Dry Creek Road on the map..go all the way up..turns into a rough dirt road. About a half mile it will intersect with the powerlines road but continue straight for about another half mile or so. It is driveable but take it easy. Enjoy!

Easy in that it is only a few miles to the falls with pretty good trails most of the way and hard because of the climb! So most anyone can do this, its just how fast do you want to get there....:) Well worth the drive and hike!!! Beautiful falls, pack a lunch and enjoy...:)We did in general find the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in general hard to navigate with terrible maps and signage...:(
