My experience at the Linneaus Teaching Garden started off rather negatively. I had, minutes ago, slipped on a walkway and cut/bruised my elbows and dirtied my clothes while walking through the rose gardens before the Teaching Garden. However, when a staff member saw my disheveled state she took me back to a washroom and helped me clean and bandage myself up. It was only after this attention had been so generously given that I was able to appreciate the beauty of the garden and the variety it had to offer. From herbs, ferns, bushes, trees, vegetables, and flowers, this garden, although small, had an enormous variety to it. My friends and I spent 30 minutes go up and down the row and we enjoyed the serene quiet and the feeling that we could get lost from civilization; a sort of secret garden-feel. I definitely plan to go back again this spring (is closed while out of season), but this time without needing any medical attention.

Well designed and maintained garden. Veggie areas done very tastefully. Great ideas for edible landscaping and fantastic use of native OK plants and plants that work very well in Tulsa.

We take small school groups here to explore. The garden has an edible section, greenhouse, clean restroom, healthy koi, waterfalls, meditation garden, herbs, and grows new varieties every year. It is rarely busy and always a peaceful, educational experience.

Other reviews piqued my interest so off I went to see it. An amazing amount of plants in very limited space, creatively arranged. Especially enjoyed the vegetable plantings and fragrant herb garden. Any gardener or lover of plants will come away with ideas of how to incorporate plants into their living spaces. My visit on a lovely fall day, was not too hot, and not too many people allowed time to fully enjoy the gardens. Although most of the rose gardens have suffered from disease, the remaining roses were remarkable in fall blooms. Take a snack or picnic and enjoy this free venue in Woodland Park.

I had not been to the Linnaeus Garden in a few years and went recently. Loved it! The volunteers (totally run by volunteers and contributions) were friendly and helpful, the plantings really nice and the waterfalls and koi were lovely. Great for a quick trip, because it's small, you can do this in less than an hour.

Such a beautiful place with knowledgable gardeners on hand that assist you I with your questions. Everytime I visit I have just a bit more courage to do my own gardening, whether it be shrubs and trees, vegetables or flowers. A gem.

We always love going here. They have done a fantastic job of planting and caring for all the things here to look at. If you are in Tulsa I would suggest going here and walking around. IT is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful explaining things.

The staff here is great and the surroundings are perfect for a picnic. There's so many different displays and the volunteers are very knowledgeable. Fun to check out the Tulsa Garden Center mansion and also the gift shop when you're in the area.

Had some free time and visited gardens. Pretty large complex with a variety of environments. I was surprised with the number of flowering plants they had considering that it was mid-August. Several families were picnicking, enjoying the large park. It is free. Plan on 3-4 hours, bring water, and wear comfortable shoes.

My wife and I, and two of our grandchildren, visited the Gardens on a Saturday. This is a great place to take pictures and learn from the knowledgeable staff. I recommend coupling a visit here with the Rose Garden and the greenhouse behind the Tulsa Historical Society mansion.

Our large group (50) Master Gardeners touring the gardens and was very impressed with the knowledge of our tour guides! Since our group ask more detailed and unique questions I was very surprised that for the most part they knew the answers. They had lots of humor mixed with that knowledge too! Beautiful area of the garden center and well thought out. Loved the garden water features also. We were amazed at some of plants we found there and to amaze Master Gardeners takes a lot. Recommend this stop for anyone who loves flowers and trees and have that little question that is on their minds!

This was part fo the Tulsa Garden Center, which is located in Woodward Park. Everyhing is free of charge and you can walk around and learn about so many diffeent kinds of home vegetables that can be grown. They don't harvest anything here to sell or dinate. Since it is for educational purposes, they will mostly just leave the plants to mature and keep growing without harvesting them. There is a little house that is probably usually open but it was closed for the day, so we're not sure what information was available inside, such as instructions and tips for growing different kinds of vegetables, different varieties, etc. The volunteer staff there were so friendly and welcoming. It was neat to see how they cultivate the Asian pear plants on a wall and how all kinds of herbs and vegetables can be grown in ordinary containers and pots, as well as in the grounds.

Nice, nice, nice small garden. The water features help the flow of the space. A thought of thought has gone into making this a very visually appealing garden.
