We made a day out of going to Pawnee and after eating lunch at "Click's" we went down to see the Pawnee Bill Museum. It was simple, well put together and my son got to see a buffalo right outside the car window!! We enjoyed our little road trip! The museum was fun and informative and the little drive around to see the animals was pretty cool to!

We visited the museum first, got a bunch of things from the gift shop. Kinda expensive shop items. The tour was like $15 for 7 of us- ages 5 and under are free. Very reasonable for about a 1/2 hour guided tour of the house. If you take the house tour I would recommend it for kids 5th grade and up. History abounds! Then we drove through the gate and saw buffalo, long-horned cattle, and Clydesdale horses!

A wonderful place to take family and friends to show off the OLD WEST life & times with many historic things to go thru and see. It is a GREAT days outing on an old ranch.

We always enjoyed the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum. However, when we found out about the Wild West Show, which is held in the summer, we sometimes go to more than one performance! The performers are great! Reasonable refreshments available, nice friendly crowd in attendance. You'll just love it! Join the Pawnee Bill Ranch Association as well to help support this fine attraction.

I always take out of state guests to this place. It is very interesting, the tour gives a very good background of the old Wild West Shows. The personal history of Pawnee Bill and his family is thought provoking. The grounds are really nice. Children enjoy this tour and the museum. I have been going there almost every year for the last thirty years and I enjoy it every time.

Interesting and authentic home of a western Rancher and showman (in his time as famous as Buffalo Bill, infact combined shows later on). Also has a wild animal drive through with buffalo and old western cabins brought in from the area.

The museum is great with a lot of original Pawnee Bill Show items. Also a lot of Indian artifacts and paintings are on display. There is a amazing diaorama of the whole show showing how the show was in it's time. The Pawnee Bill home is beautiful, with many original items from when Pawnee Bill and his family lived there. Don't miss the loop drive through the Buffalo and Longhorn pasture.

We finally got to go to the Wild West show and it was all we had hoped! Lots of horses and action. We really enjoyed the trick roping! He is amazing. Can't wait for next year. They only offer the show 3 Saturdays in June. Go early to see all the buildings on site and enjoy a bite to eat.

We were at the Pawnee Bill Ranch for the Wild West Show this past weekend. It was great family fun. We went to downtown Pawnee to watch the Parade before dinner. The dinner was tasty but sort of unorganized as far as to getting your plates. The Wild West show was a lot of fun but the bleachers got a little hard after a bit. Overall I would go back for another visit but would bring cushions for the show.

I had know about this ranch and wild west show for years but never been. I took my family including 3 grandsons to the ranch and show last week-end. This is a family friendly atmosphere complete with good food, side entertainment, and fun. It is not a full fledged "Hollywood" event but plenty of local talent and skill. I suspect the cast has as much fun doing the show as those of us in the seats. The show runs the last three Saturdays in June. Put it on your calendar for 2014.

My wife and I visited the Pawnee Bill Ranch and attended the Pawnee Bill Wild West Show. The Wild West show is a recreation of acts from Pawnee Bill’s show in the early 1900’s. The show is only available the last three Saturdays in June of a given year. We paid $14 per adult on the day of the show. A program was $3, a bottle of water was $1, and a bottle of sarsaparilla was $2. There are vendors that sell kettle corn, Indian fry bread, and a few other food and drink items. There is a meal available at 5 PM in the barn, but we didn’t have the meal and I do not know the cost of the meal ticket. The grounds of the ranch include the home, the Pawnee Bill museum, the blacksmith shop, the buffalo/longhorn drive-thru prairie, and the rodeo arena. The home is called a mansion by some, but I think it is a large home for that period of time. There are many unique features to the home, but unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside for me to share some of the features with you. The home is two stories, with no wheelchair access to the second floor from what I could see. Two of the bedrooms upstairs were named for frequent visitors Will Rogers and Buffalo Bill Cody. The museum has a variety of artifacts from the ranch and the wild west show. Also, there is a display of photography of pictures taken at the ranch that are very nicely done. There is a gift shop with toy pistols and bow/arrow sets, shirts, and a few unique items. The blacksmith shop is pretty cool to walk through. We missed the blacksmith demonstration earlier in the day. We didn’t have the chance to drive through the buffalo prairie. The Wild West show is a couple of hours long and would be great for kids. Should you go, sit up higher in the bleachers to avoid getting dust in your eyes. There are a variety of reenactments and the actors make much of it look easy, but it really isn’t. In fact, one rider was thrown from a horse after two horses collided. Fortunately, the rider was OK after a little while and returned to the show.TIP 1: The Wild West parade starts at 4 PM in downtown Pawnee. Park near the courthouse to view the parade.TIP 2: Bring a seat cushion as the wood bleachers will make your butt sore.

This museum has improved tremendously over the past five years. It is a really gorgeous spot, and they have recently added some really nice exhibits. There isn't much to do in Pawnee, but visiting the ranch is a good way to spend a few hours. A trip here followed by a meal at Click's steakhouse made my day a blast, and my inlaws from Minnesota loved this glimpse of Oklahoma history.

It was just to "hokie" to be fun, and it was very hot, which may have been the cause for a dismal rating
