Ever taken you car across a river on a ferry? No? Then here is your chance. Take an easy drive down Route 50 along the Cincy side to the Ferry. Hope on the Ferry, cross the river to the KY side and take a right on KY 8 to view all the neat farms and houses. Definitely stop off at the Apple Orchard during the fall and then head back on KY 8 towards the city for a great Sunday drive,

The ferry ride across the Ohio river is truly a step back in time... Doing so with the fall leaves along the banks of the Ohio River in their blazing glory is spectacular.... Turn South on KY Rt 8 in October and take your little ones to the Pumpkin patch for photos and apple fritters...OH the memories and pictures!

It's always nice to take a ride int he ferry. I've been doing this with my kids since they were little. Add some excitement to your trip across the river.

Super easy and fast way to travel to Kentucky. I would almost always like to avoid the highways. It's not all that much to use the Ferry. And I live right up the road so it makes more sense to go this way than any other.

Great value and a great way to kick it old school while crossing the river! Especially if you've never done this I highly recommend taking the ferry across the river. It is a view of the crossing you absolutely can't get any other way.

We don't get on the ferry to go across the river to get anywhere specific, we get on just to go across and come right back! My kids love to go cause they can get out of the car and look out at the river! Fun for all ages!

a great way to go from the west side to the airport altho you may have to maneuver a tricky curvy hill once you get off the ferry. i used to just go across as a foot passenger when i lived on the west side and enjoy just being on the river for a few trips. was pretty reasonable to ride. used to take it to off site classes in ky and it really cut the time. everyone should try riding the ferry just for the experience. it is beautiful being on the river. try it at sunrise or sunset sometime. it does get busy at times so allow for that if you are really in a hurry at rush hours.

Quick way to cross the Ohio River west of downtown Cincinnati. Inexpensive and fast. Ticket taker was grumpy, but he was standing in the rain. They take only cash - no credit/debit cards. Interesting experience.

We wanted a shortcut to the airport from the west side. My friend is a lifelong westsider and suggested the ferry. A great experience. I had so much fun! A great beginning to an Easter weekend trip. Unexpected that these little gems still operate and are so unassuming. Love.

I remember trips across the river to go apple picking on the ferry. Very affordable to take a car. Now I park the car and buy a foot pass to take my grandmother back and forth, she loves it.

We love to bring visitors home from the airport via Anderson Ferry. They can't believe the twisty, narrow drive down the hill, overlooking the river, and they wonder why we are turning left off the two-lane river road -- until we drop down onto one of the antique ferries that cross the Ohio River all day long. It's not just a different way to get home from the airport: it's an experience, and well worth the $5 fare.

It's a landmark for the Cincinnati area. A little bit of a crap shoot in regards to saving time. If you pull up and can drive right on the ferry and they leave shortly after it can save you some time. The price is really reasonable with discounts if you are making a round trip.

I started taking my 2-year-old grandson on the Anderson Ferry as a birthday treat in 2000. This year we celebrated his 16th birthday on the ferry, along with his 5 cousins. We love that quick ride across the river and back. It's kind of a Tom Sawyer moment for all of us!

We moved from Tennessee to Cincinnati a month ago, and before then I had never even seen a ferry before. My daughter loves going to Florence Kentucky, and someone told us how much quicker it would be if we took the ferry. We tried it, loved it, and now take it several times per week. It's $8 for a round trip pass, and it saves around 20 miles of driving. We buy passes online that bring the price down to $3.50 per ride. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
