Nice little airfield in Troy. Everything from R/C airplanes to historic biplanes can be seen. Modern hangers have plenty of historic artifacts, pictures and stories of The Waco aircraft company. I attended a presentation given by a "air-traffic controller" on a cold Thursday night and had a wonderful time.They have "fly ins" every so often that are fun to go to and sometimes you can pay to go up in an old Waco plane.One of Troy/Miami Co must see attractions.

Arrived in time for the Sat evening BBQ/Auction at the Hampton. By Sunday many of the trucks had cleared out. Sat is the better day for viewing vehicles.

For the second year they were our host for The IH Scout and Light Truck Nationals. If your planning and outdoor event I highly recommend! Easy access to I-75 and great grounds and parking!

Really enjoyed the museum. It is very small but every corner is filled with interesting facts about Waco planes and WW2.Well worth stopping by to see and takes about 30 minutes to go through for a quick glance.

Great little museum. Lots of planes actually made here including single engine, gliders, and bi-planes. Went to the WACO Fly-In that had the MOST BEAUTIFUL Bi-Planes i've ever seen! Head to the museum (an hour will be all you will need), then head down the street to K's Hamburgers for a treat and make it a day!!

Loved It! They were a GREAT host for our IH Scout and Light Truck Nationals. Easy to get to and from hotel. And they rolled out the red carpet for us. If you have time and weather permits take the ride in the vintage plane replica. If your looking to host an event in the Dayton OH area be sure and see if they can help! You will be glad you did!

I just spent a week volunteering at WACO Air Museum's WACO Aviation Summer Camp for 9 to 12 year olds. It was an extremely well thought out program with top notch instructors; both are licensed pilots as well as good teachers/communicators. Oh these youngsters did SO much, and learned SO much about the physics of flight. Some samples of the camp's activities--touring the WACO museum and learning the history, riding on a hovercraft home-built by one of the pilots in the camp, building and flying three types of model rockets--rockets with engines, water rockets, & Alka-Seltzer rockets, building and flying kites, learning how to design and build an airfoil and testing this airfoil in a wind tunnel, flying radio controlled aircraft, getting a flight physical, using the universal aviation alphabet, learning how to read a flight map, learning about yaw, pitch and roll, meeting aerial photographer, Dan Patterson, and actually flying in a Cessna and viewing the Troy area from 2400 feet up. As a tourist you would enjoy seeing all the authentic aircraft and the displays on how the WACOs were effectively mass produced earning the distinction of leading in American Aviation 1919-1947.

WACO played an important role in the history of aviation. This small museum has several airplanes on display, as well as information about WACO and it's place in aviation history. Travelling from Dayton North, this museum is kind of on the way, and worth an hour of your time.

This is a small air museum but has lots of nice displays, an annual Fly-In, and also classes given year 'round for school kids. During Spring to Fall, there is almost always some activity at the museum.

Neat to experince for the children. They had no Fear. As a parent it is important to allow your children to expercine life, and the Air is part of this.

Waco biplanes were made in Troy and this is the local meuseum of them.If you like old airplanes then this is a must if you are in the area.

This museum is a treat for families. Not huge but well worth an hour or so. Our children have loved going here since they were very young and as they hit the teen years they still find something to learn.

Amazing collection of different aircraft and other flying memorablia

You have to be a real aviation nerd to know what the Waco represents in the history of aviation. If you do understand you will find some fascinating things here. If you don't, you will probably be totally bored. The best time to visit is during the annual Waco fly-in when you can see numerous planes.
