Great little town with surprisingly great food, bars, coffee, etc. It's still as safe relaxing place to stroll and enjoy an evening.

The Downtown Farmer's Market on Cherry Street is a very good market. They have a nice mix of vendors with produce, baked goods, and cheese. I REALLY do not like markets that are mostly vendors selling jewelry, purses, bird baths, and other items. When I go to a Farmer's Market it is for produce and food items. This Farmer's Market does not disappoint!

Troy has a nice, charming and walkable downtown filled with shops and restaurants. We really like to visit the Strawberry festival each year. The festival has its own website full of information but most importantly it is always scheduled for the first weekend in June. Its a great time to visit a nice city.

Our daughter lives in the next town and we always go to Troy when we visit usually twice a year. There is a center square in town and the streets surrounding have the stores and restaurants. While small, it has a little bit of everything. Cafe's, restaurants, Wonderful candy store, and various other shops. The architecture on the buildings is wonderful with a nice mixture of old and new and you see church spires all around.. The Courthouse building is a wonderful, inspiring old building. Troy Main Street is well worth a few hours.

I visited Troy, OH, this past weekend for the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover. My goodness, what a lovely town. I felt so welcomed by every local I met, from the awesome people at the used bookstore and bread store, right down to one of the local security ladies working the festival. Every single local that I talked to was amazingly nice and made me feel like I was a part of their charming little community. I was highly impressed with the way the entire city transformed itself to support the festival atmosphere. It was truly an incredible thing to witness. Looks like I'll be visiting again for the strawberry festival next June! Thank you, city of Troy, for a wonderful weekend! You were the best hosts.

An unexpected surprise when we took a little break from the highway. Take a pleasant walk around the Town Square and enjoy this slice of Americana at its best.
