Spending time on the Oberlin College campus not only gives one a palpable sense of history but affords one endless opportunities to hear great music, due to the almost daily performances of conservatory musicians and singers representing a wide range of genres.

I was completely enchanted with the art museum at Oberlin. First class, important artists, important art, and yet plenty of 'fun' art.

I am an Oberlin parent. I love the campus!. The buildings are works of art.Check the conservatory calendar if you are in the area. The concerts and performances are done by students but you would think you were at a professional event. Many of the performances are free and the ones that charge are reasonable.

II love the fact that I came and visited the campus when the leaves are still autumnal in colors. The campus has a beautiful vibe and definitely amazing architecture and buildings. The campus is surrounded with friendly people, awesome and healthy places to eat nearby, to find trees (under or up on the trees) to read books or to just chill. There is an awesome vintage clothing store called Ratsy's that is walking distance from campus as well. I love the element of the old and new about this campus. It is worth a visit!

Wanted to visit the college and visit my families homestead. Wished I could have spent more time. Loved the skyline. Hope to get back soon and visit the libraries.

Classic architecture, next to city square, charming. Wish we could have been there when school was in session, and will plan on a return visit.

My 3 kids and myself went on the Common Grounds Canopy Tour in Oberlin, Ohio. We had seen it on TV and decided to give it a try. It met all of our expectations. I was apprehensive initially but by the end it was all good. There were 7 zip lines of varying lengths. The last being the best at an amazing 870 feet. The kids (youngest being 10) loved it. Our 2 Guides were both excellent and personable helping to ease our group of 8 into the adventure. It takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete and you're off the ground and in the trees the entire time. Normal zip lining will never be the same for us after this. We got the package at the discounted rate so it was well worth it.

If you're just wanting to visit beautiful buildings and a quaint college town, this is a nice place to visit. The college itself, while highly rated educationally/culturally, has some exclusive practices such as banning certain townspeople from their property. (example...for skateboarding there.) Finney Chapel, The Chinese Missionary Memorial, and Fairchild Chapel are beautiful historical buildings. There is a new music building that looks fabulous, but I have not visited it yet. The town has lots of cute shops and a beautiful town square with fun parades and other activities.

The college gives alot to see and do but need to check what is available on their web site. The Observatory is great for young and old, THe town has a lot of history for all races to see and enjoy.

I work at a very small college with only three buildings. I live in Oberlin and am so happy to be able to walk around on this beautiful campus, attend events, and belong to their fitness center. I love Oberlin College!

The town of Oberlin as well as the College have much to offer - from art to music to architecture to history. Just a walk around town will reveal many beautiful buildings, some with hidden treasures like the collonade behind Bosworth Hall with the sculpted faces of past Oberlin professors, to the Japanese pond and garden behind the music conservatory. Then there's the Oberlin Art Museum, a Renissance building with a surprisingly complete collection of art along with a quiet courtyard which few people visit. Free music concerts are scheduled year round - the best at beautiful Finney Chapel. You will find history commemorated in Oberlin from the missionaries who died for their faith, to World War I and II veterans to memorials to the Underground Railroad, the Civil War and the civil rights movement. The shops are eclectic and include a used book store, an old fashioned five and dime, antique stores, bead stores, and candy shops. And all are set around the beautiful central square of grass, large trees and brick walks. There are many other hidden treasures in Oberlin, but you're going to have to visit yourself to discover them.

Really cool college town setting, small, old time stores and theatre. Fanatastic school for the arts. Known World-wide. Walking down the streets will bring back memories if you are old enough.
