A must visit place this building is very unique in its design and the handle i believe weigh seven tons each, the wood and design inside is pure craftsmanship.

Right in downtown Dresden. It really is a large basket made of split oak just like it's smaller cousin. While in town, see some of the shops. It's worth the time to get there.

Love finding interesting and unique roadside stops and this was one of them. The basket building was awesome to look at and take pictures of but was closed when we got there on a Sunday. Down the highway about 15 minutes from the basket building is the Homestead in the middle of nowhere. It is an esthetically pleasing and massive indoor mall of Longerberger products. Along the outside of the mall were other small buildings of interest and nice walking areas with picnic tables all over. There was a sculpture of the worlds largest basket of apples outside which was ginormous and picturesque. Apparently there is a phenomenal buffet and barbecue in the Barn there but it was closed when we got there at 3:00 on a Sunday though it was advertised to be open until 5:00. We were told they close early when business is slow. A huge disappointment because that is what we mainly went there for after reading about it. There was a make your own basket event going on that we did not partake in. Worthwhile stop for roadside attraction enthusiasts.

Okay, so it's a big basket. It is kind of fun for out of towners. Some of us locals are just embarrassed by it but you should see if it you are passing by. It's different! :-D

I know it's meant to be an attraction but it's not the building that bothers me, it's more of how the built everything around it. From the jumbled and misplaced parking lots to the ponds/fountains that never seem to be taken care of....

It is quite a sight, driving on the highway then coming upon a giant building that looks like a basket. Unfortunately it has seen better days and the grounds need some upkeep. Sad.....

It is a one of a kind building I like to just pull into the parking lot and admire the work. Everyone who comes to Newark should drive out to the Basket you can see it a long way down the road.

driving past the Longaberger basket is quite a treat. Seeing an office building built in the shape of a picnic basket really catches one's eye. Very unique looking and makes one appreciate architects with vision.

There's nothing to do here, but that's not the point. It's just a cool, old school roadside attraction. Sometimes it's good just to stop and take something in for a moment.
