it is not COSI or a big city children's museum...but it is a friendly small town place to take pre school children for some fun and play bank, post office, little theater, water works

We take our grandchildren there regularly and they love it and talk about it all of the time. I worry sometimes about smaller children getting run over because some older children run too much and are not monitored by their parents. But the variety of exhibits is fun--my grandkids love the grocery store and the schoolhouse! Thanks for this great place!

My children didnt want to leave this hidden gem. There is so muchto do here and the facilities are very well kept. I only wish we lived closer to visit more often. Worththe drive wherever you live in Ohio!

We had the opportunity to spend a few hours with our grandson away from his sisters. His parents suggested the Little Buckeye Museum--as others have noted, it's a treasure for Mansfield. Our little guy is 6 1/2, so he was one of the older children there. He focused on the many transportation exhibits, and had lots of fun. We had to leave after two hours, and were able to go happily because we had the hope of returning later in the day. It was a great place to create some memories with our very active young man.

My son's preschool went here as a class field trip. Love how hands on it is and let's the child use his/her imagination. 2 floors of fun!

My daughter lives in Columbus Ohio and I live in Cleveland Ohio. We wanted to meet half way and do something fun with her kids who are 22 months old and five years old. I did a Google search for fun things in Mansfield and "trip advisor" listed this museum....After reading the reviews, we decided this museum was perfect for us...I am thrilled to report that this place was great!...Both kids, my daughter and I had a really good time...The staff is super friendly...There were enough activities to keep us going for HOURS! Watching them discover the real world in "pint size" was awesome....Our two little ones loved the doctor room the most...next was digging for dinos...shopping in the pint sized grocery, and the bank! We definitely will be going back again with more kids in tow....

This museum is much larger inside than it appears on the outside. It is very clean, has great and friendly staff. It would appeal to children from about 14 months (walking age) through about age 6 or so. It is laid out as a collection of small areas for children to explore on their own. There is a dentist area with a chair and tools for them to play with, some mini-sized tractors for driving, a grocery store with small shelves and items for them to pretend purchase, a very cool water area to play in - complete with water bibs so they don't get too wet. Over all this is a really nice place for children and will entertain and educate them for about 2 hours.

Great place for little ones to explore the big people's world. There is something for every child here. Whether they desire to be a chef or doctor or mechanic or engineer, children can find something to engage their minds and bodies at this hands-on museum. My son loved the huge water table. He also enjoyed filling a basket with apples from the tree. His favorite activity was flipping every switch and pushing every button in a real car! Allow at least 2 hours or pack a lunch and stay a little longer.
