I enjoy going to Hocking Hills in the summer time. I usually will stay in a log cabin, they have tv, air condition and heating, campfire and picnic. bed and comfy room, grill for the picnic and it about 10 miles to the state park. Hocking Hills has outdoor sporting such as canoes and hiking. It is also relaxing at the cabin in the summer time listing to the birds and enjoying nature.

Thank you for your kind words about our campground. Even though it is starting to get cold I am glad that you were able to camp before the winter. We look forward to your visit again!

We rent from Hocking Hills Adventures almost every time we visit Hocking Hills! The canoes and kayaks are comfortable, and the staff is fun. There are several trips to choose from. Trip 2 is a good length/time for us! On this latest trip, our driver, George, told us to keep an eye out for otters as they were storing up for the winter and building their nests. Sure enough - we saw one while we were canoeing! George even met us at the drop off dock and helped us unload. He's fun, personable and really added to the enjoyment of our day.

Great guides and beautiful space. What's not to love? Definitely will revisit for the night tour which by all accounts may be a little creepy!

I spent the yesterday canoeing and putt putt golfing through Hocking Hills Adventures. We did canoe trip 1 which was five miles on the Hocking River. The trip took us about two hours. It was my first time canoeing so I was a little scared at first but the river was mostly shallow and I wore a life vest that was available through the establishment. I had a really good time and it was a great way to bond with my guy. The weather was beautiful and so was the scenery as we traveled through the river. I look forward to my next canoe trip. The Family Center had the putt putt golf. It was a little run down but still lots of fun.

The people at the company assured me that a reservation wasn't required and sure enough, we were in the bus on our way to the drop off within about twenty minutes of arriving.Canoes and kayaks were in good repair and the information provided by the staff was pitched at the right level - not teaching to suck eggs, but making sure we weren't goig to drown! Great afternoon out!

We had a group of 6 from 20 to 50 and we did the x-tour . This was the first time for all of us and we had a blast. We felt extremely safe and our guides Paige and ally were awesome!!!! We would recommend this x-tour to teens on up not difficult at all.just lots of fun!

We took canoe trip 1 and we had 7 adults and 2 kids (1 five year old and 1 two year old). First off that's one great thing about this place is that they're one of the only places that don't have an age requirement. Most other places we looked at wouldn't allow kids below 5 years and such. The canoes were very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. One tip I would suggest is to try to plan to go when the river level would be higher. We went while it was fairly low and we had to get out of the canoe and pull it across a gravel bed in the middle of the river. And there were multiple areas during the trip that we had to navigate all the way to one side or the other. But that's not something they can control. Their prices were best in the area and the company and people were great. Very organized and fun.

On July 19th, my boyfriend and I went on the inner tubes down the river. The employees let us know that the normal hour and a half trip would take about 3 hours because of the low water levels. So, we ate a sandwich before we left to tide us over. The first half of the trip was great. It was mostly a "lazy river" with a few minor fast flow areas around the rocks. I was great fun. The second half, the river was barely in motion at all. We had to work some to finally get us back to the pull out area. We had a blast. We enjoyed every minute of our experience, even the working, but the trip ended up taking us 5 hours. Other than the river being a little too low in some spots and the very slow flow, it was great! We are going back in a couple of weeks camping, and we are hoping to go on the 6 person raft, is the water lever is high enough that they are renting the out. The staff was super friendly and answered all of our questions accurately, professionally and honestly. Although the trip took longer than they had informed us (probably just because we were enjoying it and not in too much of a hurry, so we did not work much to get us there) the trip was perfect! Thank you all.

Thank you for your feedback. Mother Nature can be unforgiving. Especially when it rains hard for three days straight. It is unfortunate that you visited us after this fact. No matter the campground you stay out, after continuous thunderstorms the grounds will be wet and muddy. We do our best to avoid this situation by laying limestone in the spring and continuously grading the roads. We have made several improvements the last several years, including a new floors in the canoe livery, tile and nature stone in the shower house. In fact I invite you to visit again during a non rain storm so you can see all the improvements we made and see our facility at its best.

Our family of 18 took a canoe trip (trip 2) at Hocking Hills Adventures on Saturday July 19th. All of the employees were friendly and the process of checking in went very smoothly. We all had a great time and felt that this activity was a great value. We would recommend this company to anyone wanting to canoe in the Hocking Hills area.

My family and I have been canoeing here since I was 8! I am now in my late twenties and I have introduced this to my husband and we have been canoeing it for 4 years now! I love this place! I love the people! Shane and his family have done a very nice job with it and have made it grow to be bigger than it has but have always maintained a close relationship with the customers! My family and I agree that every time we visit we feel like we are seeing great friends! I have also camped here and canoed the next day at least 20 times! I have also had my bachelorette party on the river! What a blast!!!!! It will be exciting to take our daughter when she is old enough to do it!! Thank you to the staff for always making sure everything is perfect and well kept!! Cheers to more memories!! Thanks you to everyone who make this place awesome to visit!!!

This was our third time camping at the riverside campground. This is by far the best spot to camp in the Hocking Hills region. The staff patrol the are and pick up trash and the sites are very nice. I would recommend booking more than a week out and reserve a spot you like. The staff listened to my needs when I made my reservation and picked a great spot for my family. This is primitive camping...Porto Potts are on site and showers are a short hike away. We tubed down the river and had a great time. The website needs updated as they no longer have the tube loop from the camping ground. We took 2 vehicles and dropped one off where we planned on getting out. We can't wait to come back!

A group of four of us, almost senior citizens, took trip 2 on a very busy Saturday. I was amazed at how busy they were and yet were so friendly and accommodating to us. It was definitely a throwback to a simpler time, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and no pressure to rush through the trip. Although we had no 'guide' during the tour, we had been told about a few points along the river that we should consider spending a little time.Yes, it was muddy at the put in and take out, but there was more than enough employees helping in getting the canoes to the river and off the river. Due to recent rains, most of the liveries near were closed, yet HHA made it a stress free trip.Attendees were good at carrying out their trash, so the area was very clean. A most enjoyable afternoon. Guests should consider bringing something to drink and snack if taking one of the longer trips, and on the day we attended, we definitely used sunscreen, and clothes that would dry quickly if wet. We'll be back, more likely during the week when there's less of a crowd to take one of the longer trips.
