I played in a league in 2014 and will be returning in 2015. The course has a great layout and is challenging. Yardage markers are right on and you really don't need view finders or GPS to judge your distance. Rolling terrain, trees, with water hazards and bunkers that are placed in areas that challenge you to either play safe or "go for it"! Hole 17 is the signature hole and can played multiple ways.Clubhouse is very nice. Good food, nice selection of beverages and liquor, cigars if you so desire. Great selection of clothes, shoes, balls, clubs, etc, etc...Range is very nice and there are two practice putting greens with one located on each nine. The only problem would be the wet conditions. They are working on better drainage and 2014 was a wet year. There is a fan blowing on the 10th green and I can only recall one Tuesday that it wasn't on. Other than that the rates are good, for the league they are outstanding. And they helped us throw a nice outing at the end of the year! There is even a pavilion that can be rented for outings. Good job to the staff at Ellsworth!!! Hopefully after this year I'll be able to give you an excellent.

Looking for a quiet course, well maintained, friendly staff and still be challenged? Then check out Ellsworth Meadows. The course is located in Hudson, away from freeways and most homes, manicured throughout the year, the course remains in good shape into the Fall. We were able to get out for one last round in October..before the leaves covered all our missed shots. The back nine is quieter, more woods, water and out of bounds opportunities await, for some of us. The course can stack up on Sat and Sun in the summer. The staff is friendly, the clubhouse has basic food/snacks/sandwiches and seating to accommodate large groups, and a pavilion for outdoor cooking for tournaments. Resident Golf pros Greg and Brian are available for a "tune up" lesson as needed through out the year, they have fixed more than one issue over time. Nice driving range and putting areas for warm ups. Golf carts in good shape. Would play there anytime.

Played on a Thursday with an early tee time as one of three courses during a recent mini golf getaway. The course was in outstanding shape for late August and the amount of play it likely receives. A classic Ohio course with rolling terrain and woods. Played from the white tees and found the strategically placed bunkers and water hazards challenging but fair as senior players. Yardage was clearly and consistently marked and we were able to easily navigate the course without a play book or GPS. The pace of play was not an issue but might be a consideration when booking a tee time. Has a very good practice/warm-up area with well marked and varying target greens. The club house and eating area are modest but adequate. We thought the par 5 17th was one of the more picturesque and well conceived golf holes we played during our trip. Definitely would enjoy playing again.
