This is a fantastic library ... always with tons of turn-over of new books and a surprisingly large collection for such a small town. The lighting is perfect for reading, it's clean as a whistle and, of course, it's quiet for good reading concentration.

This is a wonderful resource in the Town of Stowe. Centrally located, it is a short walk from anywhere that you park downtown. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. A must visit for those who appreciate libraries.

This is a great place to hang out with kids on a rainy day, plus Miss Sally who leads the Monday and Friday story times is awesome and interactive with ages from baby up to PreK.

This library was deceiving from the outside. We tucked ourselves in the magazine room for hours. Especially because it was a rainy day,

For a small town offers much. A great adult and children's sections. They had newspapers, computers, DVDs-a great variety.

While we have many large libraries where I live in Maryland, I always seem to find many books and movies at the Stowe Free Library that I cannot get at home. When we are on vacation in Stowe, my family goes to the library almost daily.

little nooks and crannys to grab a newspaper, also the art museum on the second floor always has an interesting exhibit--we saw the Cuban artists show --worth spending a quiet hour or two

I liked the spacious layout of this excellent public library, which happened to be right across the street from The 1860 House B&B where we were staying in mid October. Not only was it well-stocked with books, for both adults and children, but also provided several computers with WiFi, as well as a number of comfortable chairs throughout for people to sit and read. Upstairs there is a large art gallery open to the public that on Oct. 17 featured a large number of pieces on display by Cuban artists. That evening, a guest lecturer from Cuba .gave a very interesting and comprehensive presentation on the seminal influences of visiting Cuban musicians on American jazz and artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie in the first half of the 1900s. The presentation was highlighted by audio clips of various Cuban and American jazz greats of the past.being able to experience such an unusual musical event at no charge in a public library was truly rewarding to me and the others attending that evening.

I like stopping in to read for a while in between shopping after my morning walk. It's a bit small but adequate.

We often stop at Stowe's library when we visit since our timesharing place doesn't have wifi in the units. I like that you can just show up and use the computers, but I wish you could sign up for an hour and not just 30 minute as that is too little time. Having said that, I always get to use a computer for as long as I need, but I often have to move from one I'm using to another one if someone else signs up after me, which is distracting to the others working away. I like the quiet reading room, the ever-changing art exhibits upstairs and lawn sculptures. I also like the concerts on the gazebo out front in the summer. They could use more parking. The librarians are helpful and friendly. I know it sounds strange to go to a library on vacation, but we started going out of necessity and found we really enjoy the Stowe library.

Every August when we travel to Stowe we have to stpo at the library. Apart from his wonderful architecture beauty, the staff is welcoming and they have great places to just sit and read real books. BONUS: mid-end of August they have a Book sale where you can get some real nice classics and modern stories for a song.

This library was a great place to relax. We used it to plan visits and check up on local wildlife etc. You can use their free internet system for 30 minutes. This was a excellent free resource I cannot recoomentd it highly enough. The staff were very helpful.

We only went in because it was raining but it was charming. If I lived in Stowe I would be there every day! They were having a book sale and I got a great book for 2$. We also visited the art exhibition upstairs which was most interesting.
