Wonderful improvements have been made. Carl has made our visits special, so we were very disappointed to learn Carl is leaving ... He will be missed ... What a shame, he was a real asset and a wonderful host.

Myself, my husband and 10 year old enjoyed a trail ride with Sydney! She made us feel very comfortable with our beautiful horses for a 1 hour ride.

We stayed for 3 nights in the main inn; our friends had 2 rooms in one of the carriage houses. Our room (#6) was charming, had a gas fireplace (which made the room warmer as well), accomodated a cot for our son, had a large walk-in closet (convenient for a ski trip) and a pleasant bathroom with seeming endless hot water. (Three people at the end of a day skiing are a pretty good test!) The first downside of the room was that the smoke alarm -- directly above the bed -- went off twice during the first night, and it had the same effect as any alarm, which was that it woke us up both times. This didn't happen again, but we could hear everything in the adjacent room and the common area below, including the whispered conversations after those guests were asked by management to be quiet. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who expects to make much noise (i.e., has kids, is talkative, or is planning a romantic weekend with an expressive partner) unless you're prepared for the hostile or gawking stares from your fellow guests when you see them in the breakfast room. But on that front, the dinner there was delicious. I believe that committing to eat dinner at the inn as part of your price plan may make a good deal of what others have called pricey. Management was responsive to our concerns (whether the alarm or the noise).

My wife and I held our wedding at Edson Hill Manor in October of 2007. After having some initial reservations during the planning phase due to some less than glowing reviews and a couple of booking snafus, theactual event went off without a hitch. In fact, everything turned outbetter than we had expected. (and even cost a little less than expected)The staff fulfilled every request we, or any of our guests, had whilestaying behind the scenes for most of the weekend. Due to a sudden downpour, we even had to change the location of our ceremony from themeadow to the terrace at the last minute and the staff was able to make the switch in less than 5 minutes. Several of our guests have told us that it was, hands down, the prettiest wedding location they had ever seen and that the hospitality went beyond their expectations. My advice to anyone thinking having their event at Edson Hill would be to rest easy and enjoy the location and the day. The owner and staff will make sure every detail is done to your vision and expectations.

Die Unterkunft war gundsätzlich gut, nur leider konnte man auf Grund des Straßenlärms zur Nacht das Fenster nicht öffnen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und der Service war gut. Ein besonderer Vorteil ist die Lage, direkt am Zentrum.Ich buche das Hotel gern noch einmal, wenn ich geschäftlich in Frankfurt bin.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit teilweise renovierten Zimmern, Sehr gutes Frühstück, leider kein kostenloses Wlan.
