I am jealous of cheese. It gets better with age. Cabot has always been my family's favorite cheddar. Today got some of the high end stuff. Cellars at Jasper Hill Cabot Clothbound Cheddar.This cheese is grate and I have nothing to wine about !!

Thank you for your comment, we appreciate it. We do host other Vermont companies to demo their products and I'm guessing that's what occurred. This is really useful feedback, as we can take your input to make sure this does not happen in the future. On our way to green mtn inn for a 3 day spa getaway....we stopped in the middle of a snow storm to sample some cheese! So fun and yummy. Lindsey was working and was super nice!!! We bought 4 cheeses, marmalade orange maple syrup (soooo good) and some maple candies! Of course a couple bottles of spirits for the cold nights!Great stop!!

Stopped here on our way back to Stowe after visiting "Ben and Jerry's" and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill (highly recommended triumvirate of a day!). Why didn't I listen to previous reviews? So many cheeses to sample. And not just cheeses but also many different types of maple syrups, crackers and popcorn. It is true that samples sell and we left with a bag full of goodies and very FULL tummies. Make sure to save room and be sure to try my favorites, HORSERADISH CHEDDAR, yup- that's right, horseradish and it is darned good!

We had to make Cabot one of our stops while in the Stowe area. Who doesn't like cheese? We enjoyed trying most every cheese around the table...there must have been 20-25 different varieties. The Habenaro is very hot, watch out! We really liked the private stock cheddar that's aged for several months. We ended up buying a block of that cheese. There is also popcorn with powdered cheese to sample, as well as many different flavors of infused maple syrup. In addition to this great shop, there's a Lake Champlain chocolate shop in the same plaza. They have samples as well, and they're chocolate is fantastic. Try one of their salted caramels too...so good!

You can sample all kinds of cheeses here and many other food items. They also had a selection of meats and wines/ciders. Nice spot to stop for sure!

Excellent selection of Vermont Cheddars and the prices were reasonable. Free samples for each of the Cheddars is a winner as well.

Stopped here for the first time....wish it was closer to my house. Between the prices and the cheese options...I love it. The samples and other Vermont products are great. The staff is friendly and helpful with questions. Go ahead, pull in...you will like it....

If you love Cabot cheese stop in and try about 20 different kinds - the muenster is amazingly yummy after 10 types of cheddar. The best time to visit is early afternoon when you are just needing a light snack before dinner.This shop is perfect they sell every Cabot cheese product including their excellent chip dips - the consistency is like whipped fluff unlike the usual drippy soupy-ness of other dips.The store also sells a wide variety of chips/crackers kitchen bric-a-brac and post cards as well as local wine, beer and cider.If you brought the kids they have those honey sticks ( straws with flavored honey inside) at 20 cents a pop so go nuts!Have fun - get your cheese on!

While we would have loved to get over to the Cabot Cheese factory, the Annex store was the next best thing. If you are just interested sampling the cheeses and purchasing, this is the place for you.The Annex store has samples of just about every cheese Cabot makes in addition to other goodies. You might not want lunch after going here if you sample enough. You can purchase any cheese you sample. They also have local wines and beers for purchase as well as maple syrups, jams, soup mixes and more.We spent about 30 minutes here sampling our way through Cabot's cheese offerings and left with several blocks of cheese and a quart of maple syrup. If you love cheese, don't miss this place!

Wonderful selection of cheese all presented with respect to good hygiene. It was nice to be able to try the cheeses before buying. The sale prices were very good. There were lots of other interesting products. A very worthwhile stop.

Great place if you like Cheese and Specialty Foods. They have samples of many of the cheeses and other food samples. The cheese options are great, personal favorite is the 5yr old cheddar. YUM. Champlain Chocolates is next store with more free samples.

The cheese and dip samples are interesting. Great variety. Store has some unique items. Staff nice. We always stop by and stock up. Love checking out what is new.

Great varieties of samples of cheddars--did not know it came in so many flavors. Fun visit. They do not ship wines which was a little disappointing.

Lots of cheeses to sample, awesome cheddar dusted popcorn, gifts and souvenirs. Wish I had gone to the factory, though .. didn't realize the factory and Annex were in two different places.
