Looking for an activity for our monthly date night I came across this activity/outfitter through one of my travel forums. I thought how cool this would be and scheduled a tour. Best thing I've done in a long time. Amazing fun. Unique and even educational. Cory the owner of the company/dogs drove our sled and his pride and knowledge in what he does is apparent and enthusiastic… very contagious. Through a misunderstanding on my part about his location we arrived about 45 min after our scheduled tour. Cory kindly still fit us in with a fairly book night. Although we still enjoyed the ride tremendously it was quite late. Even at this stage of the night the dogs nor Cory lost their love for what they do. I just wish It hadn’t been dark so I could have taken pictures to share. We took an hour tour, which I thought would be plenty of time out in the cold but next time I do this I’ll be sure to take the 3 hour tour. Dress warm and bring your scarf so you can cover your mouth with because you won’t be able to stop smiling. The rest of the staff (or friends helping out, not sure) were friendly and inviting. You can ride as a single or as a couple. the gent prior to our re-scheduled time used the tour to propose to his (now) fiance what a creative idea. It's like sled ridding so if you have any health issues that would keep you from doing that then i wouldn't recommend any dog sled tour but if you are up for something unique, entertaining, and just good ole fun then this is a great idea. Akwanok offers tours at the Stratton Mt. @ the sugar bowl area.
