harlow's

This weekend 8/24 the family wanted some Grade B maple syrup, so I said I know just the place in Putney, VT. We always get our maple syrup at Harlow's. But what a shock when we walked in this time, shelves were empty, only 2 different kinds of syrup. The cheese case had bare bones for cheese to pick from, cooler lights were out. The ceiling light fixtures that were suppose to have 4 florescent light bulbs, only had 2 lit in some and lots of fixtures were completely out. It was dark and gloomy in there. It looks like the place is just selling off what they have in stock. I have never in my life seen this place looking so sad, or do I say rundown? It's going to be apple season soon, but maybe not. Very sad.

This is a nice place to pick berries and apples and they have picked produce in the store as well. They also have a sugar house and sell maple syrup. The prices are reasonable pick your own.

What a very nice surprise to find, by accident, Harlow's Maple syrup factory and store! I would encourage anyone who goes near the area to make that one of their stops! The syrup is so good that I now order it and have it shipped to my home. The owner was very friendly and gave us a tour of his facility! We enjoyed it so much that we made sure our travel plans included that stop on our trip last year!

Stopped in here and got some maple syrup, cheese and hard maple syrup candies. My son only will eat the Real Maple Syrup. The cheese was Very Good. I should have got a bigger piece. I tried one of the hard candies, and went back and bought more of them. I would go back again.

You can;t go wrong stopping here.It seems as though people don;t know how good the prices really are here.At basketville only a couple of miles away prices are much higher ,There are plenty of items to choose from.Not hard to find right off of rt 5. i always stop here on my trips to this beautiful area..

Harlows is a great little place to stop along RT5 in Putney. They produce and sell maple syrup along with other maple products right in the store. They also sell small gifts and other edible products along with fresh fruit depending on the time of year you visit.
