Our stay at the Jackson Gore Ski Area was so comfortable and convenient. The room was very inviting, with very comfortable beds. Just make sure your heat is working properly. The front desk is very helpful with that, and with information of the area. The restaurants on the premises are all delicious! It is quite convenient to take the elevator from your room, down the hall, and outside to the lift area. I would definitely return.

Jackson Gore is a self contained ski area. The resort has very nice hotel rooms with many amenities ,including a pool and gym area. Ski lessons and rentals are also available here. The lift is a detachable quad (fast). After skiing at Jackson, access is easy to the rest of the mountain.Inside the the Resturant and cafeteria serve good food . This is an ideal area for a family ski holiday

While we stayed at Okemo Mountain Resort we made it a point to ski over in to the Jackson Gore Ski Area. It seems as if we dedicated more than 1/2 of our time at Okemo over at the Jackson Gore side.

I loved coming here! The tubing hour was so much fun. The roller coaster was absolutely awesome! I love the trails because they're great for beginners like me. Will come back!

Although my husband and I have skied both Killington and Mt. Snow without children, this was our first time skiing in Vermont as a family and we were pleasantly surprised. We decided to stay on property at Jackson Gore Inn and utilize it's close proximity to the ski area and this was a great decision. We found the trails to be a nice mix, somewhere between the "beast of the east" and Mt. Snow and plenty of grooming, which we prefer. We opted to do private lessons with both our 8 and 4 year old and the instructor (Kevin) was amazing. He had our oldest skiing all over the mountain. We also utilized the Penguin daycare while we were there and the staff was great with our youngest (and our middle when he tired of skiing). We would definitely recommend Jackson Gore/Okemo, if you prefer groomed trails with plenty of challenging trails and we highly recommend going during the weekdays, which are quiet.

Went with kids (girls 18-15) all of them had an excellent time. Prices were very cheap ($12 for an hour of fun). Can't beat it ! We had to call a couple of times and everyone was very helpful on the phone and just as nice when we finally arrived. One of the best spots in Vermont for outdoor fun. Like a hidden jem !

Was in town for Columbus Day weekend - a beautiful time of year with the Fall Foliage and all. Took a day trip up to the festival they were holding at Okemo, the "Fall into Winter" festival it was called. Anyway, a wonderful way to spend the day with friends and family. Weather was gorgeous, which doesn't hurt ;)We went to the festival with a group, so really weren't paying attention to where we were going, what we were doing - in other words, we just showed up. The festival was cool - good live music, food was AOK (not bad, not terribly expensive - mountain food), and there were several freebies thrown in - pie eating contest for the kids, seed spitting competition, hayrides, pumpkin bowling. Also some typical low cost activities - face painting, etc.The Adventure Zone was a big hit for all the kids in our group - ages 4 through 10. A great mix of activities - the timber ripper mountain coaster was enjoyed boy adults and kids alike. The mini golf was fun, and the climbing wall/big air bag were fun!The Haullback Challenge course was AWESOME for me and my son. It is busy, so do it early, or late. We did it at 4PM and hit a very soft patch - there were only 4 people on the entire ropes course. From what we heard, the rest of the day was very busy on the course. Three levels, we did the first two levels and called it a day. Expensive, but really fun for the older kids (and adults!).Definitely recommend the festival and the paid activities, just be prepared to spend a few bucks and have fun.

What a fun place in the summer as well as ski season in the winter. They have so much to do for every member of the family. Golf course, Adventureland Zone, Timber Coaster, roaring fire pit and some great shops. Must try the maple waffle with ice cream, so YUM!!! The staff is very friendly and very helpful with information. You won't regret a Vermont getaway here any time of the year!

Went in the summer, it was beautiful! The staff isn't so sharp at the Spring House...but we enjoyed renting bikes and hiking. There are also great bars at the summit

We only visit for the snow. The lodge is comfortable. The condos are really sweet and the skiing is great. It's east coast skiing so the powder is heavy and wet at times...so maybe it's not powder exactly. If you stay at Jackson Gore, you are just steps from ski lockers(included in condo rental), ski rental, pro shop, food and of course the best part lifts. We loves this place. Okemo is a family oriented place. There is a wonderful kid care & ski school. The slopes are challenging for the more advance skier but there are plenty of easy trails as well. The only downside to Okemo/Jackson Gore is the lack of dining choices. It's acceptable but don't expect 5 star dining in or around the resort. We have been going to Okemo since 2006 and Jackson Gore since it opened. We will be back this winter, if the snow gods give us some good snow.

SO nice. Okemo base looks so aged in comparison. Great place, very well rounded with lots to do for all. Higher end than most mountains in Vermont.

We paid a short visit here and my 4yo had a great time. She loved the Timber River (went twice), and the bungee bouncer.Still a bit young for the zip line though. Really nice place.

Spent June 27th & July 4th 2014 at the Summer Music Series in the courtyard at Jackson Gore in Ludlow. It is a beautiful sprawling lawn area with perfect acoustics for enjoying music with friends and family. Saw the Vermont Symphony Orchestra ($36) and The Butties. The Butties are an outstanding Beatles cover band, and they were free! Worth it to visit if you are in the area. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and relax.

After a few great hikes, we paid a visit to the Okemo Mountain Adventure Zone at Jackson Gore for the second time. The Timber Ripper (aka safe mountain coaster) and all of the activities were a hit with kids and parents alike. This year we also tried the Haulback Challenge, which is a 3-level ropes course. So much fun! So proud of my family for making it through Levels 1 & 2 and my hubby even made it through Level 3. I definitely recommend a stop if you're feeling adventurous and love the outdoors!
