We just walked out to the grand overlook but even in the 1/2 hour it took to get there we passed signs giving the history of the quarries. The quarries themselves were beautiful and some of the carvings in the rocks done by modern-day carvers were lovely. The center itself has a lovely little museum describing the history of the area.

Well, it's where you get your trail map… what more to say…hmm, fifty characters… Nice people, great trails.

When in the Northeast Kingdom this is definitely a place to check out. Relatively new, this touring center provides endless miles of trails and vistas in what was an area formerly designated for quarrying. Now the old quarry roads (and many, many newer blazed trails) are perfect for x-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking or just wandering. All seasons provide interest. Historical & beautifully repurposed land that now provides healthy, invigorating & memorable experiences for all outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. A welcomed addition to the area and well on it's way to becoming a go-to place when visiting Vermont.

While this gets rave reviews from bikers, this network of trails is great for walking too. The paths are well cut and signage pretty good. A map allows one to choose paths when signs are vague. The views of the quarries filled with blue water are gorgeous.

Trails are well maintained and have all levels of difficulty.

Millstone offers fantastic mountain bike trails and great views of the old quarries in the area. Fun stuff!

This place rocks! Best mountain biking in the area. From beginners to serious mountain bike enthusiasts, Millstone is the place to be. Awesome views from scenic lookouts and historical interest (the touring center winds through abandoned granite quarries) mixed with great cycling make this a must-visit if you bike and are going to be in Vermont.
